Stayed at Stroud Green for 3 nights 21/8 - 24/8. It's a nice little paddock in the grounds of The Lawns wedding and function venue.
Nice views over paddocks with horses. The paddock isn't level and so levelling aids are required.
The site is mostly quiet but during my stay there were a couple of function on at the Lawns and so music could be heard until about midnight. There is also some road noise, particularly noticeable at night and some occasional aircraft noise from Southend Airport. That said, it is a nice little site, well located and there is the Cock Inn just down the road which serves good pub food.
I'm not sure why, but there is no CL sign at the entrance on the main road but the entrance is the same as for The Lawns. You then follow the concrete road which meanders for quite a way, past The Lawns, the stables, two caravan storage areas and the owners house! The site is just past the house.
I would stay at this site again.
Peaceful and beautifully
Stayed at this CL for several weeks having a break with the grandchildren for the Easter holidays elsewhere. Well kept CL, grass cut regualry, looking out on the horse fields. Very peaceful easy access and on good road routes to different areas, Southend, Hockley, Rayliegh etc.
