Lovely Site

We have just returned from 7 nights at Swan Cottage. The site is just like to photo and Jill and Gordon made us very welcome. The site is easy to get to and access is really good. As the site is adjacent to the main road you do get road noise however as it been hay making time I think the noise was a little more than normal due the to combined harvesters and tractors. It would not stop me returning to the site. We went to the church just down the road for tea and cake on the Sunday and we were made very welcome by the locals. My husband was pleased as there was a like minded motorcyclist there for him to chat to. This site is a little gem for just six pounds a night. Keep it going Gordon and see you next yr.

Lush green and spacious site

Lovely large site providing plenty of space for privacy. Although on a main road the noise wasn't intrusive. Friendly welcome from the owners. Unfortunately we only stayed for 1 night on our way to Brecon but will definitely visit again

Herefordshire peace

We stayed here in early July 2016 and found it very peaceful and well maintained with a beautiful green lawn. The owners are very friendly and helpful. We found somewhere interesting to go each day of the 14 that we were there and if we were visiting this part of the country again we would not hesitate to revisit. We survived very well without all the mod cons. We did however make use of our 20year old solar panel to keep the battery charged.

Perfect calm.

My wife and I stayed at this site for three lovely nights, prior to returning home after a three week break in Chester, lake district and Birmingham. We arrived to a warm welcome and lovely weather and soon settled on this lush green site. Our solar panel on the caravan came into its own and we were soon off visiting various areas recommended by our hosts. Close to the main road, traffic though busy, wasn!t a problem though much care is needed when taking dogs for a local walk. Perfect site for an off grid experience. Geoff and Fran.

We stayed two weeks on this site while walking the Wye Valley walk, it is a lovely site set amongst trees, nice and flat with plenty of room for 5 units, Gordon & Jill were perfect hosts chatting to us most days about our walking and offering recommendations as to where to eat etc. The Sun Inn is the best place to eat as they advised. The Red Lion in Bredwardine is another good pub, great for a good beer and chat to the locals. Oakhurst farmshop on the main road towards Hereford is great for stocking up with local produce as well It is close to the road although this never bothered us and we slept soundly every night. I cannot recommend this site highly enough one of the best we have stopped on.

Clean, groomed and well-kept.

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Swan Cottage walking sections of the Offa's Dyke Path. There was a very welcoming, friendly, and helpful reception from our hosts Mrs. and Mr. Valentine. The site is a mowed park-like area with trees and with interesting perimeter contours giving a feeling of spaciousness. It's a flat site enabling easy pitching. There is easy access from the main road and the facilities are conveniently located.

A friendly welcome

We booked Swan Cottage as a last-minute escape for the Bank Holiday weekend, and we're very glad we did. The site is kept to an immaculate standard by the owners, who are also very relaxed and friendly. We received a warm welcome on arrival and a 'tour' of the site. The whole site is covered with lovely lush grass which was mown short just prior to our arrival, and had plenty of nooks and crannies for our two young children to explore and play hide-and-seek! Battery charging is available in an outhouse upon request, and there are separate drinking water and toilet cleaning taps. The only slight disadvantage is that the toilet cleaning tap is approximately 20 yards from the emptying point, but as long as you are an 'efficient swiller' this shouldn't entail too many trips to and fro! When we left the site the owners stood and chatted to us for a few minutes, and again we were struck by the friendly and relaxed way in which they run things. We will certainly be back - especially at £6 per night. If you are disturbed by a little road noise this might be something to bear in mind, but the tall hedges keep out the worst and we certainly weren't disturbed by it.
