This site is all about the location. It possibly has the best scenery in the lake District. The washrooms are as described in the earlier review and can get very busy. Located right next to Brothers Water which has a nice walk round it or a three mile safe walk into Patterdale. Access from the A66 can be tight in places if passing buses etc. On site is the Barn end pub which serves real ales and food, plus at the top of the site is the Brothers Water Inn. There is no play area or games field and the bottom of the site is virtually always boggy. Loads of walks can start and finish at this site and every time I walk back to site I always impressed by the beauty of the place. As I have already stated, it really is all about the LOCATION.
