Well, I shall be honest about this site. Yes it's very quiet and peaceful, that is because it's miles from anywhere. I was lulled into a false sense of security believing that it was narrow just for 150 Yds. It is not. It's a narrow and winding road for the full half mile and despite what one member says, there are not a lot of passing places and those that are are too small for an outfit. My heart was in my mouth both arriving and departing. Luckily it is not a busy road at all and I didn't meet any traffic. I dread to think what would have happened if I met another caravanner ...High Offley road isn't that much better either, that too is narrow in places. I met a couple of vehicles coming away from the site but luckily I managed to squeeze past. Be warned this is tricky.. As for the site, I personally think it was overpriced for what you got. I'd stayed on a CC site, 2 weeks previously and paid the same price! How can that be right? The site itself is ever so slightly sloping and this isn't clear from the photographs. Again be warned. The toilet is not the best in the world, but clean enough except for all the swallows nests and bird poo falling around you! The field is really quite big and kids would have a ball. I feel the owners should advise arrivals after 1300hrs and departures before 1200. Would I stay here again? No, the journey to it is too stressful for me...
