A last-minute decision, but we had a great time. Genuinely quiet with lots of wildlife to hear and see; the pub is a true timewarp, and having the canal boats puttering past is fun! Little lanes good for that leisurely evening stroll or bike ride, and the nearby towns all have that old style feel. Not hardstandings, but firm ground and cut grass. (Though as we left, we towed smugly uphill past a group of six pushing and shoving their van on the level, while the driver spun his wheels and hoped. And we don't have 4-wheel drive!)  Access is down narrow lanes though.  But a delightful CL.
