A Week at The Barton

We spent a fab week at this lovely CL at the beginning of June, and I could wax lyrical about it, but most of it has already been said in previous reviews. The last half mile after leaving the main road does need care especially at the bridge, but site entrance is fine. The site is lovely and we had a warm welcome from Ross and family. Pitches are well spaced and fairly level hardstanding. We found Instow beach to be dog friendly and very popular. We walked and cycled some of the Tarka Trail which can be accessed at the bridge near the junction with the main road orTorrington, where you can park for free. The tourist information centre in Bideford can be recommended, the lady there was extremely helpful. If you are looking for a CL in North Devon give The Barton a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed, we will certainly return when next in the area. ☺
