What more can you ask for??

An excellent CL. Been rolling for 15 years and this is as good as it gets. Well maintained site, good rates and friendly owner. Site is nearly level and there are some blocks to help supports in rear hedge. This is part of the charm of a CL am very surprised at some of the whiney comments - if you want spirit level flatness go to a hard standing on a club site. For me its CL's every time and this is a very good one.

Durham on a budget

Taking the grandchildren to a CL with no shower was a risk but they loved the space to run around. The site details should say levelling blocks required you most definitely ned them. Fortunately I found some blocks of wood in the hedge which I left for others to use. The ground slopes in two directions and we could have done with a ladder to reach the caravan door. There is road traffic noise but you forget it after a time. Superb location for visiting Beamish and Durham.

Good but far from quiet!

Site a bit rough, untidy and grass needs cut, toilet very basic! blocks needed if you like to be anything like level. What you would expect for the price, it does the job. Never saw the owner,we were left to get on with it and we found w/c after 4 hours.(It's on the second house from the road, right hand corner, red door next to the bin. Big problem is the noise from the very busy road it goes day and night. Site is next to a haulage company (Same owner) complete with noisy guard dogs. Site OK, very handy for buses and Durham. Not much good if you want peace and quiet and being able to sleep at night.

inexpensive and well located

Nice CL. Hard standing and grass fairly level but some blocks may be required. Basic facilities, no wifi, but this is an inexpensive site. It is very well located being close to Durham City and good road access in all directions. The only problem with the site is road noise. There is also a public footpath running through the site. Some lovely scenery nearby, but not visible from site.

OK

Handy for the City of Durham and major routes north south and west.. very close to park and ride, and other local bus service.Pretty much left alone to get on with it, and that suits me. local garage also uses the site as a car park but not intrusive. Facilities Ok and overall for the price it is a good site.
