Lovely little hideaway

Amazing place, tranquil and very peaceful. Lovely views. The place is immaculate and easy to get to. There is a great little pub nearby. We will definitely be going again loved it so much.

Perfect Easter break

What's not to like about this site. Gill and Ken are lovely people, very welcoming but leave you to enjoy your holiday. Very clean and smart site. Easy access from the road with big gates. Slightly sloping, but no issue. No EHU, but we have a moderate solar panel and no issue are all for 4 nights. Quite nice to be off grid and have the pleasure to pitch where you want, when so many sites have restrictions. Just a perfect Easter break in the beauty of peaceful Derbyshire. Will definitely be coming again.

Relax and chill in peace.

Booked a Monday to Sunday break here but enjoyed it so much we stopped on for a couple of extra nights. The site is well kept and there is lots of room on the pitches. Slightly sloped we had to use our leveling blocks but that was no problem at all. Access was easy with the caravan and Ken and Gill had labeled our pitch for our arrival so no time wasted setting up. The location is great with lots to see and do in the local area. Local pub / hotel is 5 mins walk if you do not want to drive also there are lots of really good places to eats and drink within only a few minutes drive from the site. Basically, great hosts, great location, great site. Thanks Ken and Gill for a great break.

Peaceful haven in stunning surroundings

Enjoyed a 2 night weekend break at The Chestnuts. Ken and Gill were welcoming and warm hosts offering a generous and well maintained lawned site with recycling facilities and ample sized grass pitches. Had a nice meal at the local pub within 200m and enjoyed a pleasant walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside. An idyllic, peaceful location in the Derbyshire countryside.

Lovely site

A lovely well maintained site, located in a beautiful part of the country and perfect for our chosen destinations. Gill was warm welcoming and very helpful. The site is very generously proportioned so plenty of room for everyone. Could not fault it and would highly recommend. We stayed two nights but would definitely stay longer if we were staying longer in that part of the country.

Great little site

Newly opened site and not in the book yet so we had the site to ourselves for 3 of the 4 nights. Helpful and friendly owners. The site is quite sloping so take levelling blocks or the owner has wood you can use. Lovely views. No EHU at the moment but are hoping to have it installed. They did let us use an extension cable from their property. Lots of places to visit in the area and a great pub/restaurant just up the lane. Very quiet and peaceful, easy access to the site. We will definitely return.

Really lovely little gem of a site!

We were the only campers here on a bank holiday weekend so we felt like we struck gold! The owners Gill and Ken were very friendly and super helpful both over email and in person. The site was very well maintained and felt very secure too- with gates being closed at night. There was plenty of hand sanitiser and convenient recycling facilities. We enjoyed being able to walk over the road for a drink at the local pub, the White Hart and although we didn't have any the Sunday lunch looked delicious! We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this site, even though its only half an hour from our home! There are lovely walks around the area and Crich nearby is well worth a visit too, especially the local pub the Cliff Inn. (although currently closed due to Covid) We will see you soon! thank you for having us!
