Ease of arrival/welcome

such a shame

Arrived onsite Friday evening and was pleased we did a quick search and look prior to our arrival as site entrance is on a corner and gate set back enough for a car and caravan to pull in off the road (this is a good thing) but unfortunately if you blink you miss it and there are no turning g points for a car and caravan to turn around on the winding country road. Once on the field we were quite discouraged as most of the field was a quagmire and although we have had large downpours on Friday it has been very dry and warm on the south coast. The field is also backing onto what I would call a very busy road (we were about 10ft away from the road) although when in the caravan the noise did not bother us but on Saturday it was most annoying when sat outside. There was no warm welcome or even site of the owners during our 3 night stay. We found that the site is managed by a company over the road. The facilities do fresh water and CDP are good but nothing for grey waste (we ended up putting our down the bushes at the end of the field by the road) there was no faculty for recycling rubbish and to dispose of your rubbish is over the road and on another site, we ended up taking our rubbish home as the bin was over flowing when we tried to dump ours. All of these negative points being said it is a £10 a night site which is very good value for money. There are two main local pubs which serves food, we had our Sunday lunch in Yes Tree which I must say was very nice.
