Having been on site mid December when electric unavailable for a couple of days I don't recall my being thrilled at paying for EHU in site fees and using gas instead for best part of 48 hours.
If the OP felt that there was little prospect of the problem being resolved and little interest shown by the site I can understand his point of view.
If the initial site fees included (say) £4 for Electric and instead OP was spending £6 to £8 a day on gas I doubt the prospect of 5 nights was too appealing JVB.
