D day - 12th April a significant date for 2021 - 'the great escape' and a significant birthday that week too. Fab welcome from Mary and Penny who couldn't do enough for us - they totally engaged in the party spirit - taking delivery of a variety of gifts and booking us in to the Miners for a birthday dinner - alfresco of course. Beautifully kept site and a great brick built bike shed too. There is a path directly into the woods so avoids the main road. Great cycling straight out from the site and less than a mile to the Forest of Dean. Thank you so much Mary and Penny for your wonderful hospitality and great sense of humour. Annie & Sarah xx
