Great site

This is a lovely site set in a great location with access to some beautiful walks. Electricity was provided and hardstanding was fine for our camper van. We walked into Wem a few times and walked back once on the Shropshire Way. Unfortunately, the weather was very changeable and so that route got very wet and muddy, so we walked via the road in subsequent trips. Another lovely walk was to Dobson Bridge and the disused arm of the Llangollen canal. Again, the weather was shocking which meant that we had to return earlier than we had hoped. We didn't make it to Loppington, but fancied a trip to the Dickin Arms - maybe next time! We went to The Castle for a meal - difficult under current Covid regulations, but we still had a lovely meal in the beer garden. The White Lion was also a welcome stop on out first night and also served food in the beer garden. We will definitely be returning to this site and hope for better weather next time!
