Not for us

We booked for 4 nights but left after just one night. After reading the reviews about being peaceful, we booked it as it was only £68 for 4 nights. We had the choice of 2 pitches, one right next to the elsan point, so we chose the other as didnt want to beside were everyone emptys their toilets. The noise started from 6pm and thankfully it poured with rain at 11 so all the drunk revellers from the Bermuda club went inside. Boy racers were constantly up and down the road and make are caravan shake from their music everytime they past. There was also 2 people arguing, which we could here from inside our caravan with the tv on.We walked to the frying dutchman fish and chip shop which were good fish and chips. Walking back there was already someone drunk from the Bermuda club sitting on a bench with vomit everywhere, which separated our caravan by a small hedge . After spending just 4 hours here we had booked another site to stay at. Which we've never had to do before. When i opened up the elsan point i was quite shocked, doesnt seem to appear that its ever be cleaned. I can't comment on the owner as didnt see anyone.

Just the job. Ideal seaside location.

If you want a quiet, pleasant site yet yearn for the sand between your toes look no further than this site. Site has everything you need to hand. Pleasant welcome and left to ourselves. Convenience store, cafe and amusements opposite the site entrance on holiday park. Twenty minutes amble along Beach Road and you're on the beach. Gift shops, amusements, bingo, rides, ice cream, seafood, burgers, everything you need, not forgetting the dog friendly pub with great outside area. Everybody so friendly. Plenty of holiday parks with social clubs and entertainment if you want. Norfolk Broads and Norwich all within easy reach. Ideal site which is on the list for a revisit.

Pleasant CL Site

Close to seafront walks and a few shops. Site was basic and well kept and had all we needed. Owner Barbara is very nice and made sure to come round daily to chat and make sure we were OK. Beach nearby was lovely and Hemsby was pleasant enough with most things you needed available.

Lovely site, only 20 minute walk to sandy beach

Attractive sunny site with spacious pitches. Paddock View CL in same complex looked equally lovely, but is a little smaller. Enjoyed watching the horses going by. Helpful and friendly owner. 20 minute walk to sandy Newport Beach - on leaving site turn left, then right into Back Market Lane, then right into Beach Road, where you will pass lots of useful beach shops, stores, cafes and amusements. Alternatively, on leaving site turn right and go in a roughly straight line to the sea, then turn left to get to the beach access - you won't pass any shops on this route. Very near various holiday parks which it appears you can use for swimming pool, cafes, bars and entertainment if you wish. Cross the main road to look round Hemsby village, church, shops and gift shops. We also visited lovely sandy beaches at Winterton-on-Sea (pay for parking, only facilities toilet block and trailer for take-aways), Great Yarmouth and Gorleston-on-Sea (free parking at Gorleston). Other attractions we enjoyed: Elizabethan House Museum and also Time and Tide Museum in Great Yarmouth, Pavilion Theatre Gorleston for an entertaining Tuesday evening variety show, great Roman fort and walk at Burgh Castle.

Very handy location

Recently stayed her for 13 nights unlike previous reviews I can’t comment on the welcome because the owner never made themselves known.not that I want to be over familiar but just an introduction would have been nice. A caravaner that was already on site did the honours of showing us where the facilities where. Now for positives it’s in a great location , minutes from a nice friendly food serving bar. The bus stops on the corner into Yarmouth which is really handy. The site was really well maintained. Short stroll into Hemsby. I would recommend this site . The club mentioned previously wasn’t open at the time we-visit so no comment on that one. TV reception was a bit dodgy probably because of all the trees.we wondered whether the Paddock site which was opposite but had few trees would have been any better for tv.

The Lawns

Just spent 3 days at this site and enjoyed every minute, this was our first try at a CL site, lovely welcome, plenty of room, will definitely book again. 15 minute walk to the centre of hemsby, close to local amenities, overall a very relaxed weekend break.

Great location

We have just had 6 nights here and must say we enjoyed it. On arrival we pitched with no problem, but soon found our electric hook up wasn't long enough (20mtr). We found the owner who was welcoming and soon sorted our problem, she had a spare hook up which she lent us.. thank you! Great location for local buses into Yarmouth, and right outside this CL, there is Bermuda Club which has arcades and a club at night time (can be noisey, but not excessive) Both these can be used by non residents. There is also a swimming pool (one of the reasons we picked this CL) but didn't end up going as we found it quite expensive for what it was.. for a family of 4 it is £16 a swim with no showers after! Newport and Hemsby are within walking distance and are little seaside resorts, great for little ones and families. Only criticism about this CL is the chemical waste, water area and refuse area was a little 'overgrown' with sharp fawns etc.. chemical waste I feel could be better as the lid was broken, and not a very nice sight once lifted. Also worth a mention is you get a key for the main gates as they are closed at night time, also the CL has its own gate and is a enclosed by trees. BEWARE though if you don't like early mornings, don't go to this site as there is a very LOUD 'cock - a - doodle - doo' every morning... our earliest wake up call been 04:45!
