Ease of arrival/welcome

lovely site and a warm welcome

what a lovely welcome, even in the rain. a real pleasure to be shown where everything is, which includes the very thoughtful and helpful information shed. there are a couple of picnic tables to use to admire the countryside views. there is a bus stop right at the site (which is itself easily accessible). not many buses but good enough to visit Telford or Much Wenlock or places inbetween (timetables in information booth). fresh water and cdp are both handy. all the pitches, grass and hardstanding come with ehu if required. Ironbridge is 1.5m away, walkable with a footpath albeit narrow in places and downhill on the way there. stop at the toll house museum when you get there (free entry). several coffee shops, pubs and shops to see too. as the weather was bad we choose to get the bus back (easiest place is in the car park at the far end of town, where you will also find the tourist info). got off bus in Broseley to get a few essentials and a bit more exercise walking up the hill to the site. even in the worst weather (monsoon type rain for most of our stay) we have felt welcomed and enjoyed our relaxing visit. PS if you are lucky you may get a greeting from Kenneth the black cat too.
