When booking we had some concern about a couple of negative reviews, but fortunately we needn’t have worried. On arrival the warden couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. He quickly hooked us up, with which we had no problems. The grass around the plots is well cut and the remaining area left to encourage a natural environment for nature and wild life. Trees screen the whole site. Waste facilities are fine and easily accessible. Although near a railway line any noise from trains was hardly noticeable. There is no other noise but birdsong. The site is well located for walking ( the canal towpath being nearby), and we did plenty of cycling on country roads. Walking to the Walnut Tree pub (which served food), took less that 20 minutes. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking this site again if ever returning to the area.
