Lovely site

Enjoyed a very peaceful stay on this site recently and despite the seemingly constant rain the pitch drained very well. The owners are very welcoming and this is certainly a site that we will return to in the future. Having water on each pitch is a real bonus. Would thoroughly recommend.

Peaceful retreat

This is a peaceful CL in the Suffolk countryside, surrounded by Thetford forest, fishing lakes, farmland with horses and sheep nearby and pig farms further up the lane. The area has lovely walking and cycling routes. There is a village about a mile away. The pitches are large on a grass area. We stayed here after plenty of rain but it wasn't muddy, the drainage seems good. Water, toilets, bins and chemical toilet wc all easily accessible. The owners are very nice welcoming people, and there were returning couples which is understandable as it is a very relaxed and pretty place to stay. We would not hesitate to recommend this CL.

Peaceful

Had a lovely stay here, very peaceful, very nice owners friendly and helpful, Great fishing lakes so happy hubbie , plenty of room and a tap to each pitch which meant I could not get shouted at for using all the water in the shower, plenty of places to go out and visit and a very nice fish and chip shop in village, thank you David and Tracy we will come back and this time leave with our caravan and not try and leave it behind!!

Tranquillity

Stayed for a couple of nights in early May and would recommend this CL site if you are looking for a tranquil peaceful location, nice quiet walks around lovely fishing lakes the only thing you can hear are the birds, sheep, horses and pigs,Fantastic. Well located for visiting Thetford forest and the Norfolk coast . Owners were very friendly and helpful ,very surprised to find that each pitch had its own fresh water tap with electric hookup with plenty of room between pitches, nice local pub within a mile which serves good food, will visit again Kathy,John and Molly

Friendly and in a lovely location

Beautifully located CL for exploring Thetford Forest. Great walking either direct from the site or within a mile. Nice little dedicated dog walk on site too. East Harling is only a mile or so away and has good basic shops and a fish and chip shop! Pitches well spaced and with individual hook up and water which is impressive for a CL. Friendly reception and happy to give advice on places to visit. Need to book as it was full for the 4 nights we spent in early May. We’ll definitely return!

Wonderful weekend

What a lovely site, a credit to its owners, helped us out with a problem, they go that extra mile toilets nice clean, electric and water at every pitch. Try the swan at Larling just up the road 3 miles well worth it, breakfast at the whiskey distillery 1mile.

A fantastic find

This is the first time we have stayed at The Lodge, but it will not be the last time. The post code entered into our sat nav took us right to the site where we met David, who was cutting the grass on a vacated pitch and Tracey. They are a very friendly couple who always have time for a chat or make a recommendation. There is plenty of room to pitch your van and the very best thing was that each one has its own water tap (well for me anyway as I'm in charge of water/waste duties :) ). The site is so peaceful and the fishing lakes make it very picturesque and a lovely evening walk. There are numerous paths to walk/cycle to Thetford Forest. While we were there for our four day stay we visited Thetford, Norwich and Bury St Edmunds which are all within a 30 minute drive. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait until our next visit.

Relaxing stay near Thetford forest

Warm welcome from the owners Tracey & David, lovely setting just outside Thetford, next to fishing lakes. Water & electrics on each pitch, owners happy for you to pitch whichever way you would like, clean toilets, would happily stay again, if we are in the area.

Great Place to stay

The owners - Tracy & David are very friendly & nothing is to much trouble. We have been visiting this site regularly over the last 2/3 years and have always been welcomed as friends. The owners always have time for a quick chat. Fishing is good. We love this place.

We arrived on 16/6/2018 for 4 days and had the most amazing time fishing and relaxing. The ownners were absoluty fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. We couldn't recommend this site enough. I had a week off work and we had booked the 1st part of the week here and then moved on for the second half of the week. had I have known what this place was like before going i would have stayed here for the whole week. FANTASTIC.
