We stayed here for one night but would have been happy to stay longer. The pitches are flat with electric and water and waking up to see the donkeys in the adjacent field was great.
There is an easy dog walk and the warden was lovely. I imagine it more lively in the summer evenings, as there is a beer garden and what looks like an outdoor kitchen, which would be fun.
We cycled into Lichfield for the day (about 3 miles) and later spent some time in the cosy bar and also the restaurant, which served great food and everyone was really friendly. Thank you.
Great overnight stopover
We have stayed here overnight on 2 occasions. The pitches are level and hardstanding. There are walks for dogs nearby. The site is gated with access in the pub. We will use it again, as we attend an event nearby a couple of times a year.
Weekend stay.
Lovely well maintained site. Friendly staff. Water tap on pitch. Had Sunday carvery which was delicious. Would recommend.
Great overnight stop
Great overnight stop. We had a lovely meal at the Pub restaurant which has a very good reputation in its own right. Great value for money both for site and meal.
We enjoyed it here. 20/05/14
We found the site great for our overnight stay, the welcome and food were excellent. What a good pub CL site should be. We would love to return sometime soon. Also loved the area, the wonderful weather helped.

A Site in need of some attention
Very much in need of some TLC. Part of the site was used as an overflow car park for the Pub and there is a childrens play area and out door eating area for use by pub customers on the site. The area has been neglected and looks very run down. Each pitch has water which is 1 foot away from the EHU. Not very safe. On the plus side the Pub food was good. Directions in the book are not accurate and Sat Nav takes you to a different location. A very disappointing stay. The site does have great potential if the owners look after it properly.
