What a welcome!

Our first ever experience of caravanning. Couldn't have picked a better place. Our host Dusty welcomed us on site and stayed with us giving invaluable advice on parking up, levelling the van and connecting up. Said that if we needed any more advice or help, just to knock and ask. Lovely peaceful site, our future experiences will have a lot to live up to.

The Old Plough - Beautifully kept site

Lovely peaceful site in the pretty village of Foston on the Wolds. Immaculately kept by the present owners. Lovely to watch the alpacas. Ideal cycling country - quiet country roads and not too hilly! Thoroughly recommended. Will certainly be back!

Peace and Tranquillity

We have been caravanning on CLs for many years and we've found many good sites, a few not so good, and award winning sites that haven't been as good as others have obviously thought. This site hasn't won any awards but believe you me, it most certainly should have. The owners are very friendly but not in your face! They take a real pride in their CL which is immaculate. The site is spacious, you can choose your own pitch, the grass is cut short and is absolutely flat. Like other reviewers have said it is so peaceful, no road noise all you hear is the birds and the bells, which aren't too noise. There are NO Showers and No Toilets which makes it just the perfect CL for us! Will we be back, YES bet your life we will, just peace and Tranquillity and oh yes the Alpacas which are worth seeing!

Lovely site run by lovely people

Recently spent two weeks on site although meant to be one. Day after arriving I was taken by ambulance into hull hospital an hour away to spend a week as inpatient leaving my wife on her own on site.

We cannot thank the Coulams and their parents enough for their kindness ensuring all was ok and keeping an eye out. We were lucky enough to be able to stay another week on my return and the peace and tranquility was just what the dr ordered along with watching the entertainment provided by the family's alpacas.

Thank you again. We will definitely be back and can't recommend the old plough enough if you're looking for an immaculate site with friendly relaxed owners and a place to truly kick back and relax.

Lovely and tranquil

Met on arrival by owners and given choice of pitch. Only 2 others on site so we were well spaced out. A very well kept CL within a private location and so peaceful.. just what we wanted as a late dash after work as we are local to the area and just need to get away and relax. The owner is very friendly and came for a chat and check all was ok. Would recommend for a peaceful location and away from it all. We will return again without hesitation.

Fabulous well kept CL

We found this CL quite by accident, wasn't really in the area we wanted to visit, I'm so glad we found it and will certainly be returning. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The site is extremely well kept, it's wonderfully quiet and serene, birds singing and church bells ringing are the only sounds to be heard. If it's a quiet few days away this site is an absolute must. The town of Driffield is close by for shopping, no shops close so take enough provisions.

Peace and quiet a'plenty

The owner's description of their site says everything about it that can be said. This is a gem of a "simple" country Cl. Certainly peaceful and well-kept. We used the site to visit Hull (City of Culture 2017) taking the (hourly) bus service from nearby Driffield. Returning to the site after a tiring day was "just the ticket" - feet up and cup of coffee (glass of wine actually!).

Perfectly peaceful, clean and quiet

New owners Dusty and Jean are lovely, they even lent me their caravan washing brush, bucket and solution. This is a lovely site, well maintained, quiet and friendly, and perfectly positioned within easy reach of general store, fish and chip or chinese take away and beaches. I'd recommend Fraisthorpe beach, only £3 parking all day and a lovely 45min walk up the beach into Brid (dog friendly too). Went with my 21 yr old daughter for a 3 night break and enjoyed a really relaxing time.

Away from it all

Lovely quiet and well kept site in the Yorkshire Wolds countryside yet within easy access to coast. Only sounds heard were the singing of birds and village church clock chimes - wonderful!

Very welcoming

We were made to feel very welcome at this site after booking with late notice. We had the site to ourselves and found it peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hook ups and water and reinforced standing available.
