Sunny September break

Just spent two nights at this new CL site on a working dairy farm in Derbyshire. The site is beautifully maintained with large level, hardstanding pitches and water on each pitch. This is a wonderful site for visiting the Peak District and surrounding areas. It is also a great site for stopovers too as it is close to junction 29 of the M1 motorway. We walked to the local pub, ' The Shoulder' along the scenic route over the fields. The food was home cooked, very good and very reasonably priced too. We were very lucky with the weather and had two lovely, hot days ( unusually warm for the third week in September) The site is also close to Hardwick Hall and we had a wonderful autumnal walk through the grounds and finished with a coffee at the Hardwick Inn ( which I can also recommend) I can highly recommend this site and will definitely return in future.
