Great Site

We have just spent 2 weeks here and thoroughly enjoyed it. Far enough away to get away from it all and close enough to get the best of the area. The site is about 2 miles from Barmouth which is walkable. The site is well laid out on a slope and all the pitches have a view of the sea. The pitches are levelled out on a hardstanding so no need to level the outfit. The grass is well maintained and cut regularly. The toilet block is new and is shared by the 2 sites, one being the Caravan & Camping Club and this one (Caravan Club), it didn't seem to be very busy with both sites being full. This one has water on every pitch, so no filling the hog daily. There is a bit of a slope to the entrance but nothing too challenging. There are a couple of niggles. The entrance could be more clearly indentified as it would be easy to overshoot it, just look out for the flag, Welsh of course. As somebody else mentioned the chemical toilet and grey water waste hoses should be longer to make flushing a little easier. The train station at LLanaber is about a 15 minute walk which is a request stop, quite novel. The train journey both ways have interesting scenery and worth the effort not sure that the end destinations are up to much. Make sure that you plan your train journey, especially southwards, as you need to change trains in the middle of nowhere and there can be a long wait if you choose the wrong train time. They only run every 2 hours. Also, there are 2 restaurants within walking distance that are very good. All in all this is a very good site and well worth a visit.
