A great site, clean, well maintained with friendly staff.
Site is perfect for visiting family in the area. Although you do need a car/vehicle to get about. Nearest village is Earl Shilton.
Although you can hear the main A47 road in the distance the site is a haven for birds, the owls are calling as I type. With only 5 pitches it is super quiet, we occasionally heard noise from the lodges behind us but nothing exceptional.
We will definitely stay here again
Out on a limb
Owner had double booked. So we were put on a turning area out on a limb. Didn't feel relaxing. Site was clean and well maintained. We were only there for 2 nights to meet up with friends, so didn't make a fuss. 3 of the pitch were taken by long term campers.
Just the job.
Ideal for visiting our Daughter at De Montford Uni in Leicester.
Great location and peaceful.
Very disappointing
The site is advertised as being peaceful with a butterfly symbol in the handbook (HOW?), so assumed would be peaceful and quiet - (even asked on booking and was assured the site was quiet) Oh what a surprise, not only is the nearby trunk road (A47) very busy day and night, the road noise is continuous. The unmentioned neighbouring lodges also produced loud music though the day and late into the evening. On arrival the Caravan and Motorhome club signage to access the site was inappropriate and misleading, causing us to have issues on our arrival that evening. Thankfully a member of staff Jamie came to the rescue, this was the only positive experience of the break away. At least the site was clean but there was no COVID provisions around the site, as provided elsewhere. We certainly will not consider using this noisy site in the future.
Pleasant Stay
Had a lovely couple of nights here, wanted somewhere local to try out our new caravan. Couldn't have been happier, beautiful crisp winter weather and a lovely spacious site. Owner very helpful. I am sure we'll be back to this in the future.
Cracking Site
It all starts with the front gates, electric, ring the bell and in you go. Next there's Bill a very welcoming smile and a sense of humour. Ok now the site, open graved pitches with only a very slight slope. nothing to worry about for caravans but for MH's just a touch of levelling block if you are fussy, we didn't bother, just opened a second can!! All services to hand and loads of space between each pitch. TV and satellite reception excellent. We were only there for one night for a quick visit but as Arnie said, "we'll be back" - if there's room.
Excellent Site. Highly recommend
This was our first visit to a CL site and we chose The Paddocks as it wasn’t too far from home and we wanted to try out our new caravan.
We could not fault the site. Very clean and well maintained. The owner made himself known to us having given us time to set up and get settled. A really friendly guy. The place was ideal for dog owners as there was a well kept field directly in front of the caravan for late night/early mornings walks. There were also other fields (part of the site) which were good for daytime hours.
The pitch sizes were a really good size too. There was room for our transporter plus another two cars on the hard standing plus plenty of grass for the awning.
We will definitely be back in a few weeks time.
Highly Recommend.
Lovely CL
Lovely little laid back site behind electric gates. Good sized flat pitches with services close by. All pitches are hard standing with lots of room for any large van, awning and car with room to spare.
Owner is very laid back and helpful.
We live very close to the site and stopped a couple of nights to try out our new van, never knew such a lovely little CL site was right on our doorstep.
Very good location with easy access to the local village with many shops, local town is 3miles away and Leicester is 9miles.
Informative visit to the area as we had an interest in Richard III
We had the pleasure of a 4 night visit to this well laid out and tidy CL Site which was ideal for our visits to Bosworth Field and Leicester Cathedral including the Richard III visitor centre as was the reason for visiting this area.
The Site is well laid out hard standing with water and waste facilities nearby and sits in an area of beautiful views of the country side.
There are a number of wooden cabins which have there own hot tubs for visitors who wish to hire them they do not own motorhomes or caravans.
The extra part of a security entrance was a plus to ensure the safety of everyone on the site and the owner was a friendly face indeed.
The bus stop 10mins along the road was ideal for catching the bus into Leicester to visit the City and all the various sites to see over and above our vested interest in Richard III.
What may be considered in the future is a hut with a toilet and shower facility which we have found a a number of CL sites which we have visited.
I would not hesitate to visit this site in the future due to its location and tidiness.

Great second stay
Second stay at the Paddocks as is local to us .Was expecting to see some puddles of water due to the horrendous weather of late, but all five pitches were dry and the paddock area was not boggy either, the dogs loved it. Peaceful and lovely view, all of the amenities were top drawer. Will be coming here again and again.
