Great CL, don't all visit at once.

Access is easy from the A47 (though using post code the sat nav was a little off in finding the entrance). The main gates are key code locked so the site is secure when there's no one about. Friendly welcome. The pitches are good sized hardstanding with pleasant views over the field. We will use it again.

Great Stop Over

Stopped here for one night stopover and access from the M69 and M1 are really good and accessing the site is very easy. The site is set off of the main road behind a electric gate, which the road cannot be seen from the CL, but there is road noise but this didn’t bother me. Bill the owner is very pleasant and gives you a warm welcome to the site and gives an overview to all facilities, which has all what you need. There’s 5 good sized hard standing pitches, which look over a large grass area. The site doesn’t feel that old and Bill has not spared any expense and just before the CL, there’s several luxury statics going in and the sites have been developed with new hedges planted, lighting and facilities. Definitely would return again.

breakaway

I booked a four night break starting on Wednesday 2nd January as my husband was going on a tour of the Triumph Motorcycle Factory on the Friday. We arrived at mid-day and were let in by Bill we went and choose our pitched. The ground is level and has generous hard standing big enough for caravan, awning and car, Plenty of lighting around the site and also in front of the holiday lets Bill has put up. On the Thursday we went to the National Space Center which is well worth visiting especially as the tickets are valid for 12 months. Unfortunately we had to leave on the Saturday instead of the Sunday due to my being ill and subsequently passed away the following Friday. Bill my apologies for the delay in the re-viewing your site but what with Sam passing and my daughter going into hospital and me being on grandmother duties I've only just managed to get round to it. Thank you for a lovely stay but with a sad ending.

Lovely quiet CL near Leaicester

We stayed here for a weekend in November. The hard standings are well spaced and have good views across the fields. The water / electric hookups and waste disposal are all conveniently situated nearby. There is an attractive area next to the site where new ‘ lodges’ are being completed near by , a dog running area / paddock and there are several good pubs within a couple of miles. All in all a very good site.

Clean and tidy site

Clean and tidy site, spacious pitches, totally flat. Owner friendly and very helpful. Slight road noise but no bother to me. Easy waste emptying point, TV and phone signal (EE and 3) good. Safe and secure site with electronic gates and cameras. Will stay again, recommended

Small and very tidy site

A neat and tidy haven close to Leicester. My daughter and I were visiting the National Space Centre and stayed on this site the night before. The site is behind secure gates, just watch the entrance as there is a risk of grounding if you enter and exit at 90 degrees to the road. The site is lovely with some new chalets just being installed when we visited. There are just four hardstanding pitches, so it should be fairly peaceful most of the time. There was some road noise during the day as the site is set back off the main road but it didn't bother me. You can't see any traffic because of the trees, wall and gates. The owner was very friendly and relaxed but didn't really give me any guidance when I arrived. There was no need for a briefing on arrival but I was expecting it (as it happens in so many other places), so was slightly bemused. I rang him and was advised to just pitch up where there is space. He did appear a short time later and recommended a local pub for food, which was excellent. I would definitely use the site again. Being a CL, there are no toilets or showers.

Safe and Secure Site

Entrance to site is on a bend in road so missed it first time but no problem few hundred yards down road is a roundabout so came back on it. Entrance is through a coded gate but there is plenty of room to stop off of the road, site is level and open might be a bit of a problem in windy conditions. There is some road noise but it didn't worry us to much, just up the road is a park and ride that takes you into Leicester cost us £4 for 2 of us, that's cheaper than parking in town. Owner of site left us to pitch where we wanted I had to go, he is busy installing 10 holiday caravans on the site they look very nice, site is very well kept grass is cut to a decent length. A well looked after CL.

Exactly what we wanted

The site was very well presented and secure I messaged the owner to book in for 2 nights and see what arrival time was to see if we could get there early on the friday as this would help us to make the most of our time away he text back and confirmed this would be fine. When we arrived we went through the security gate and down to the hard standing sites that had just all been restoned and looked lovely We had a lovely quiet relaxed 2 night stay and the owner was very accommodating on our final day by allowing us to leave the van there whilst we went out for the day before returning home. We would highly recommend this Site 😊
