A good place to chill

We have just spent 5 nights at this site. Such a quiet site and an abundance of wildlife to watch. There are so many interesting places to visit and some incredible walks from site. We had a very warm welcome from Sandra and Steve and they are both so helpful. A lovely large field fronting the River Bure with 5 huge pitches. We came last year in September but I think I love the Spring best. Definitely on my favourites list

A tranquil beauty spot

We have just enjoyed the most peaceful weekend next to a lovely meandering river Burre. The site is very large and the pitch on a slight incline but easily addressed with a single ramp. We saw all manner of local wildlife in and around the adjacent water meadow. Our host made us feel very welcome and the facilities were easy to access. The use of a fire bowl was well appreciated and made the evenings especially enjoyable in such a lovely setting. Think this site will be added to our list of favourites.

Idyllic Weekend br the River

Just back from a couple of nights at The Sawmill. Perfect. The pitches (large and very well spaced out) are by the River Bure and they are even more tranquil than that sounds. Hosts Steve and Sandra are welcoming and informative. We walked our dogs to Blickling Hall, two hours there, a good pub lunch at The Buckinghamshire Arms, and two hours back, and then a day on the beach. Life doesn’t get much better.

Delightful site

We were welcomed warmly by Sandra and Steve. The camping places are in a large field next to the river which is narrow at this point and great for paddling. The five empkacements have had trees and shrubs planted between them which will give privacy and shade once they are a little larger. Pitches are a good size, we had more than enough room for our campervan, a canopy, tables and chairs, and a firepit. Our grandson loved the firepit, it made his weekend to be cooking sausages in the open air and toasting marshmallows on sticks. Sandra and Steve have provided firepits, recycling and rubbish bins, a bin for ashes, waste-water disposal and chemical toilet emptying. Bags of logs are sold on site. We had a super weekend and would highly recommend the Sawmill for its peace, spaciousness, wildlife, pleasant ambiance, and facilities.
