We were welcomed warmly by Sandra and Steve. The camping places are in a large field next to the river which is narrow at this point and great for paddling. The five empkacements have had trees and shrubs planted between them which will give privacy and shade once they are a little larger. Pitches are a good size, we had more than enough room for our campervan, a canopy, tables and chairs, and a firepit. Our grandson loved the firepit, it made his weekend to be cooking sausages in the open air and toasting marshmallows on sticks. Sandra and Steve have provided firepits, recycling and rubbish bins, a bin for ashes, waste-water disposal and chemical toilet emptying. Bags of logs are sold on site. We had a super weekend and would highly recommend the Sawmill for its peace, spaciousness, wildlife, pleasant ambiance, and facilities.
