We'll be back!

Being regular CL site caravaners, this one didn't let us down. The hosts were always there when needed and certainly went the extra mile. The site was peaceful, scenic and convenient to places of interest. We look forward to returning. (April 2016)

Perfect

This is a lovely site with spectacular views of Cley, Wiveton and the surrounding area. There is an easy circular walk round Cley where you can pick up a paper and visit Picnic Fayre (a fabulous deli) and a five minute drive to Holt. The toilet and shower room was spotless and the owners provided a host of information on the local area.

Wonderful.

We spent two nights here in a campervan. We got a very friendly welcome from Lorraine and she gave us some helpful local information. It is a beautiful site in a very quiet location. There is a very clean toilet and shower. It is obvious that the owners take pride in this site as it is immaculately presented. From what I could see, most of the pitches are on some degree of a slope, ours was easily remedied with levelling chocks. (In fact we were kindly offered some blocks that are kept on site, though we did not need them).  The site is situated on what passes for a hill in those parts, so there are good views across the fields to the sea, from wherever you are pitched. We would highly recommend this site and we will not hesitate to try and book in again when we return to the area.

One of the best CLs

Was not sure about staying on a CL for a week but our doubts were unfounded. Excellent CL and the week was made by Mark having the same interests as my husband. In fact I did lose my husband a few times. Both Mark and Lorraine made us feel very welcome and we will definitely be returning. Excellent hosts, plenty of walking and evening sunsets - what more could you want.

Beautiful location and view

North Norfolk is a lovely area - albeit it seemingly being completely taken over by second 'homers'. You've never seen so many lovely flint properties being done up everywhere to admittedly wonderful and tasteful standards. This site does 'slope-about' a bit but you can get everywhere with ease. The views are tremendous and there are many walks around the site. The site owners are very helpful and the facilities are good. Access in to it is no problem either. The only point I would raise is that the site is a little tight. It certainly isn't '0.75 acre' where the caravans are pitched.

A brilliant CL

We had three wonderful nights at this quiet CL. The views from the site could not be bettered and even though it was early April we sat out as long as possible watching the sun set. The local village is a short walk away and from there North Norfolk is easily navigable. The facilities were good and well looked after. A beautiful spot and one we will visit again.

Excellent site

We have just started camping in our campervan and this is our third trip and our first to a CL site and we couldn't have chosen a better one. Site slightly sloping although we didn't need levellers ourselves the other four caravans/motorhomes did. Beautiful countryside views. Slight road noise mainly during 'rush hour!' One shower room with toilet and wash hand basin together with a selection of books and games which can be borrowed and a stack of places to go leaflets. £1 charge for shower which covers 15 minutes shower/fan heater - plenty of time for both of us. Also a nice touch, Lorraine had left some bottles of toiletries just in case you forgot yours. There are masses of interesting places to visit, Holkham Hall and Houghton Hall to name two. Wells-next-the Sea with its row of beach huts and a must is the village of Holt. Cley is a nice easy stroll away. All in all we packed a lot into our five days. We will be back to this lovely site and area. If I was really nit picking I would have liked a additional separate toilet besides the one in the shower room.

Great CL

The Sheiling is an excellent CL.We have stayed hear many times over the years with nothing but praise for Lorraine & Mark, nothing is to much trouble for them. It is accessible to many other places making a great place to stay. The price is very good value, next year the price goes up to £14 to which i said £ 15 would still be a fair price.!
