Beautiful location

The site is well maintained and flat with lovely views of hilly farmland and close to the military canal. Very peaceful although there is a small road that passes alongside the field. From here you can walk, cycle and kayak or just relax and take in the scenery which changes with the weather - morning mists off the marshes are beautiful! Facilities are well kept and clean. Sarah and team are super helpful. About the area. Walking - paths can be overgrown so an OS map is a must to ensure you are on the right track. If you are lucky, you will get to see wildlife along the Military Canal path at Lympne, we were lucky to see a tower of giraffes from the path. Kayaking - the canal can get overgrown with lilies so can make going slow but it is so very peaceful, we didn’t see a soul on the 5 miles covered. Cycling - we stayed to the marsh side (flat!) with lots of small roads crisscrossing Romney Marshes and then down to the coastal path. It was a day of sunshine and sea mist so stunning scenery. Word of warning, don’t try the footpath across Dungeness, it is hard going with thick gravel.
