This is our first visit to this site and we are on day 7 of an 11 night stay . We searched the handbook for a CL where we could relax and this one certainly is allowing us to do just that . Yes there is sound of farm vehicle activity but that is what you’d expect if you’re in the heart of countryside and there’s still harvesting happening . But there’s all the other “ sounds” .... lots of birdsong , the distinctive sound of hawks flying overhead and owls calling at night . As far as “ facilities” go then this Village is spot on for us with a brilliant village shop that has “ produce” and “ products” supplied from other members of the Village and an old pub where lovely meals are available and that is also within walking distance .. just a 15 minute stroll . Newark is the nearest town with lots happening at the moment ..... you can even have a cruise on the Trent . So we will definitely be returning ... so glad we’ve found it and not too far from home so we can come for shorter stays too .
