Excellent CL

Lovely, quiet peaceful site, with everything you need when self contained. Easy access, with the owner living just up the road; who was easy to contact via phone. Good value for money, and near to a lovely village. Originally came to this area to attend a nearby awards ceremony, however, we were really surprised as to what there is to see and do. Newark's newest 'attraction' is the National Civil War Museum, and we spent a whole day in there. Lots of other civil war places to visit. Some great cycling lanes, and one of the days we cycled over to Sherwood Pines, and Southwell, with its very own Minster. Not forgetting a visit to one of the numerous real ale establishments. The local shop (Brendas) stocks everything you will need, and it's like stepping back in time. Make sure you buy some cakes which are baked by the owner of the CL. We will definately return as we haven't seen everything there is to see.
