Easy access and not far from Welshpool for amenities.
Nice level hard standing pitches with own water and grey waste. No shower or toilet but that doesn’t bother us. Clean and tidy site. Pub within walking distance. Plenty of space to exercise our dig.
For the price it was definitely worth it and we would return as we love this area if Wales
Easter 🐣 weekend
We Arrived Friday to stay till Monday on Arrival everything was written on a board our pitch number Wi-Fi code set all up lovely large hard standing pitch site was 5star lovely walks along the canal just across the road local pub within walking distance had a lovely time unfortunately we didn’t get to meet the owners maybe next time as we will definitely be back great value £17 pound a nite
Quiet with excellent set-up
Stayed for two nights and will hopefully be back for another stay soon. Very quiet site on the edge of a small village. Fully serviced pitches which were excellent and level hard-standing. 10 -15 minutes walk to the pub and easy to get to Oswestry and Welshpool and the surrounding area by bike. £17/night - great value. The only disappointment was that we struggled to get internet via our phones for some reason which we usually rely on for communication and tv.
Well spaced site in good location
This site is well designed with large hardstanding pitches and plenty of grassed area . It is in a peaceful , easy to access location with lots to visit during your stay, The canal can be accessed just outside the site entrance for a stroll or dog walking.
Ruth was very pleasant and helpful and easy to contact.
During our stay there was noise due to the groundworks ongoing in the next field , which fortunately stopped after a couple of days . I think that the works are now completed so it shouldn't be a problem in the future

Escape from lockdown
The Vine was our first break after lockdown, great site with fully serviced pitches, good location for exploring Wales and Shropshire, booked again for 2022 and looking forward to it already
Two night stay
Lovely flat site in easy walking distance to the Montgomery canal. Fully serviced pitches which is important these days. Easy driving distance to Powis Castle which is well worth a visit. Plenty of shops and supermarkets in Welshpool. The site was a little noisy with heavy plant moving but once the work has been completed the site will be perfect. Thank you to Ruth for making us feel at home
Anymore like this?
The perfect CL! Wish there were many more like this around the UK - maybe there are?
Ruth is a friendly, helpful owner.
Easy to find, good access, excellent serviced pitches, clean and tidy, lots to see and do nearby and best of all - good pricing so we can afford to go more often! The chickens and ducks wander around - very entertaining! Disused canal nearby for science strolls, Powis Castle has beautiful gardens, Welshpool is a pretty little town with good shops. Coed y Dinas home & garden centre is worth a visit and has good cafe. Overall fantastic!
A delightful site!
What a delightful site! Lovely location and views with spacious serviced pitches which were immaculately maintained. Although the owner was away form home, we received a very warm welcome from her 'in laws' who went out of their way to be helpful and informative on local places of interest. The only disappointment was that the nearby Montgomery Canal was closed to water traffic and, consequently, filled with vegetation. This, however, did not prevent the most enjoyable towpath walks. The digger only worked on one of our evenings and, in no way, diminished the pleasure of our stay. Certainly, this is a site that we will recommend and re-visit.
Very noisy
We had planned to stay for 10 nights and first impressions were very positive. The site has hard standings with water and drainage which are well spaced and has scenic views. Unfortunately the owners were on holiday and hadn't advised us that they were having substantial ground work done. On our first evening we had a digger working in the next field and a dumper truck plus tractor and trailor dumping the earth 50 metres from the caravan until 20:30 hrs. The caretakers were very helpful but when it became evident that the work would be continuing throughout our stay we chose to leave early.

Great Site
This is our second visit to The Vine, the first being when they had only been open 2 years, it was lovely then and still is. Very clean and tidy, serviced pitches, and the Elsan point very easy to use. You get a visit from the resident ducks, hens and cockeral. Ruth the owner is very nice, but not in your face, but there if you want anything. For the seniors amongst us, we found it pleasant to just cross the road and have a nice pleasant stroll along the canal.
