On booking this CL via email I was sent a very informative information pack about the site itself and the local area. The site is easy to find and level with very pleasant surroundings. Unfortunately as we were there over a weekend we didn't get to sample the local butcher. We visited Rothbury which had a lovely fish and chips shop that seemed very popular. Kielder Water and Forest Drive are worth looking at. The main reason we chose this site was the easy access to Druridge Bay, 7 miles of sandy beach that is perfect for dog walking and on our many visits has never been crowded.
