Very friendly stay

We stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of March, and although Robb was extremely busy with the lambing, he gave us a very friendly welcome and indeed said we were more than welcome to go down for tea/coffee sometime over the weekend - an offer we took up on our last day there once we got back from one of our bike rides. Not only did we get a cuppa, but his son brought out an assortment of cakes and biscuits. Robb certainly can talk and his son was lovely! We were also told we were free to go down to the barn where the ewes were lambing. Unfortunately we missed a couple of births, but it was lovely to see the newborn lambs and all the care that Robb and his son gave to them. The views were spectacular from the site - which we had to ourselves over the 3 nights. We had a couple of bike rides over the two days - one of which was to Omagh. On our return from that ride, and after our cuppas, Robb suggested we cycle up to the "high road" above the site. We were glad we did and equally glad that we were on e-bikes (it was a steep climb) - but once up there the vista was well worth it, with the added bonus of a beautiful rainbow. There were a couple of donkeys in the field in front of the pitch area which was also lovely. All in all a lovely stay. The fees are now £20 per night and we also were given half a dozen eggs before we left.

Beautiful and tranquil

We booked Thistle Do last minute and we are so pleased we did. The scenery is just stunning and the site is so peaceful and tranquil - just the sheep and horses in the surrounding fields. Water, EHU and grey waste disposal on each pitch. Robb is incredibly welcoming and friendly, and gave us lots of information and suggestions for sightseeing in the area. Exceptional value for money. We stayed for 4 lovely peaceful nights and gloriously sunny days. Would most definitely return.

Just about perfect.

We came across this site through Search for Sites and it is an absolute gem if you want a rural location that has panoramic views from the van and is perfect for dog owners. Friendly owners, very relaxed with dogs on their land and a really useful track straight out of the site. This has to be one of the most scenic inland pitches in all of Ireland. If you like to go to sleep to the sound of waves on a shore line or the tinkling of a river then you will love the gentle, barely audible swish, swish of the wind turbine at the top of the hill. We highly recommend this site.

Gibson trip in Ireland

We stayed here for 6 nights as part of our two week Ireland tour. The owners where just lovely and friendly. Fully informative and advising in places to visit that we had not heard of, often googling and letting us know best locations. We where brought fresh eggs from their farm and little cakes. Lovely site with everything you need and ideal location for exploring. Would definitely recommend staying here

Perfect C/L

As this is a new site we decided we had to check it out. In Northern Ireland there are very few C/L's so new sites are particularly welcome. This site is quite stunning with a magnificent view across County Fermanagh, Donegal and Tyrone. Situated on a hill the view is spectacular. The site owner made us very welcome. Each site has a water tap, electric hook up and a drain meaning you have the benefits of a super site making your stay trouble free. The site is all hard standing so you have no problem with securing your awning. As we use our own facilities I can't comment on any on site. The location of the site gives good access to the west of Ireland and the Sperrins. We had a four day stay in May 2018 and were very fortunate to have great weather. We definitely hope to return again and we highly recommend this C/L it is all you could ask for.
