Let's face it, the negative reviews complain of noise smells etc, its a working farm as described what do people expect ?
WE have been visiting for many years and intend you continue .
Yes views are restricted by trees --which provide protection from the prevailing winds.
Warm welcome, reasonable fees, walks available, fairly peaceful, handy for Blackpool,
no its not a 5* site but neither is it a 5* price.
It's a cl so be prepared to be adaptable.
October visit
The site is a level paddock behind the farm houses and the H/S pitches each have their own water point. There is also a toilet, but no wash basin. Access to the site is about 1/2 ml down a single track lane that leads only to the farm, but one also has to negotiate the farmyard to enter the site. There are a couple of footpaths that pass the site and are suitable for walking ones dog, although they do get a bit muddy following rain. We received a warm welcome from the owners who pointed out places for us to visit. The major downside, as others have said, was the strong smell coming from the pig barn and a fair level of noise. The site is convenient for the towns of the Fylde coast, and we might use it again in the future.
Smelly!
A warm welcome from the friendly owners who were the best thing about this CL.
It is well looked after with spacious pitches and is also well away from any main roads.
Unfortunately, that's about it for positives. As its a working farm, the smell was sometimes unbearable. Fortunately we were here in October and the weather was too cold to sit out, but there was no way we could have sat out if it was warmer because of the atrocious smell.
The previous comments about the animal noises are also correct and we found the same....it sounded like a horror movie.
So unfortunately we won't be coming back.

Todderstaffe Hall
We booked a week at this site for mid October but decided to leave after five days. The pitching areas are quite spacious with their own water supply and electricity. Unfortunately there is no outlook at all because of the 30 feet high trees on three sides of the site and the farm buildings on the other. I appreciate that on a farm there will be some noise but the sound of the pigs squealing every morning at six o'clock as if they were being slaughtered was not very nice. Add to that the sound of the farm machinery and the trains made the stay quite uncomfortable. This will be one site that we will not be returning.

Peace and quite
Lovely site, very warm welcome by the owners.
It was very convenient for the dog show we went to and also local amenities and Blackpool etc.... Plenty of walks for the dogs on a lead as it is a working farm (pigs). It was interesting to see two alpacas acting as guardian of the geese from the fox. Will return again
lovely
we went here for the weekend due to how close it was to Blackpool. we arrived late which wasn't a problem as we had let the owners know in advance.
Our dogs loved the site as there are plenty of places to walk them
Each pitch was level with its own water supply and electric hook up
recommend this site
Weekend trip to Blackpool!!
We went for the weekend to this site. It was only our second trip away, in our van. It was a brilliant site, level pitches, own water source and a toilet. The owner, Mr. Smith was extremely welcoming and greeted us upon arrival and told us about the local dog walks and checked we were o.k. setting up. We will definitely be back for another trip. Also the site is very secure, as you have to go through the farmyard and it is behind the bungalow. There is a Booths Local and a fish and chip shop in the next village.

warm welcome
we have just been at this c/l site and were welcomed by Mr Smith and a warm welcome it was to as we arrived with our puppy west highland we gat a short time after booking so she was unannouced but that was no problems to him we stayed three night and found the site just what we wanted quiet set on a working farm with all the usual smells of a well run farm as my wife was from the farming back ground we enjoyed every thing about it very handy we must advise any one visiting Blackpool and want a GOOD NIGHT OUT visit Legand on Cental pier or Ma Kelly's top of Talbert Road two very good nights at good low price entertainment
A gem of a CL close to Blackpool and its attractions
Just spent a couple of nights at this CL to visit the illuminations and the pleasurebeach. It was easy to find despite the lack of signage (this is actually a bonus once you get there as it's tucked away from view! The access road is a single track, so be careful approaching the site.
There are 6 hardstanding pitches set within a fenced area which is accessed through the farmyard (take care through here as there is a slight downhill incline!) Each pitch has a grassy area to the side with it's own tap and electric point. A spotlessly clean toilet is provided and there are ample bins for waste disposal. There is a CDP at the rear of the site and a swing fastened to a tree for the younger guests.
It is dogs by arrangement only probably due to the proximity of farm animals on the site, but to be honest it would be better as dog free as the dog in the next van was howling and barking through the night - in fact this was the only downside of the CL.
The owners were lovely, they met us and gave us a guide to the site and Blackpool and at £12 per night I don't think you could go far wrong for a lovely CL. We shall certainly be visiting again in the future.
