Welcome was ok, just told us where the facilities were. The water was quite awkward to reverse up to. Could probably be reached by the nearest pitch with a long hose. Todmorden had loads to do without leaving the site. Beautiful walks along both directions of the canal. A town walk. Then there are three other walks around the surrounding area; one around the woods behind the site, one around the hills opposite and another to Stoodley Pike which you can see on the right hill in the distance; all the info from the tourist board which is on the main road. An Aldi is being build along the road, and there are other supermarkets in town too. Markets are on most days, beside an indoor market. Todmorden has a railway station and a large bus station, so it's great for visiting other towns or places of interest. Lovely park to the left of the site, which is great for all ages. Definitely will visit again.
