Easy access and friendly owners with a gorgeous fishing lake. Just 3 miles onto the flat bit of lovely Lincolnshire - so no views. Easy access was spoiled by the array of dustbins. Turned left and was confronted with a short gravelled avenue off either side a narrow grass strip to site your caravan. I assumed the CL. The concrete kerb drop onto the grass is a totally unsuitable 6” sheer drop, if you got down you would never get back up, the jockey wheel would sure to ground out. If another caravan was on site (this part) there would be no room to manoeuvre whatsoever. At this point the owner walked up to me, I said I don’t like this and she happily said I could turn round and go where I like on the grass behind me, which was fine. She offered an extension to the extension hook up leads necessary to get far enough away from the hap haphazardness of it all. Counted 14 caravans, some stored some looked like they are in permanent use, really only saw 4 that looked like normal users. One large motor home in ‘storage’ was parked right in the middle of it all. A big white van with dodgy trailer was parked up. All this I could have ignored were it not for the totally unacceptable road noise, absolutely no peace and quiet at all, day or night. The chemical empty place was situated in a shared shed with lawnmowers and other stuff, surrounded by unkempt catering equipment. Eventually I found the rinse water hose which is too far away so no one washes down afterwards, (I admit I didn’t either-just not usable) it was a mess. If you like fishing and are hard of hearing you will probably love it. Certainly not worth anywhere near £17 a night. It’s just all so wrong and not worthy of being called a ‘certified’ location.
