Ease of arrival/welcome

Not really a caravan site

Upon arrival could not find where to go as there were no signs and lots of buildings, but we were helped by a fellow caravanner. Later the owner arrived and he confirmed we were to pitch on the road outside the self catering cottages, which is not very nice for the occupants, waking up to a view of a caravan. The site is not well arranged There is an area of grass, which is very sloping, that is possibly used for caravans but doesn't look very useful due to the slope. The EHU point is in the centre of this area, so if caravans were to be on this grass there would be a lot of wires to cross. There was also a smell of smoke from a log burner on occasions which wasn't nice. To sum up, the self catering cottages appear the main part of this site and the caravan site feels a little like an afterthought. It needs some reorganising and pitches placing and levelling before it can be used properly. Separate toilet and shower available.
