Well kept site in beautiful location

Stayed 3 nights here, well kept site with usual CL facilities. Good location to walk up the Sugar Loaf , 10 mile circuit returning back via Crickhowell. Easy flat walk into Crickhowell, some road, mainly footpath by river. Now £25 pn with elec, £22 without. Some traffic noise as next to quite a busy road.

Couldn’t be better

We visited this site earlier this month for a couple of nights, and could not have received a warmer welcome from the owners, Andrea and Danny. We didn’t get to meet Andrea in person (next time, hopefully!) but from start to finish, communications with her were friendly and helpful. Danny was on site when we arrived, opening the gate and waving us into the huge, mostly empty field, and we were invited to pitch wherever we fancied. As we did not need EHU, we picked a spot with 360 degree views and settled in to watch the sunset. The facilities were limited but new and spotless - you do need your own onboard shower and toilet, as there is currently no shower block - but what this site lacks in mod cons, it makes up for in peace and quiet and wonderful views. Other reviews mention road noise, and whilst you can hear the road, we were far enough away for this not to be intrusive. Danny, thank you for your kindness to us and in particular to our four year old grandson, who certainly made the most of the time and space to run and play and experience good old-fashioned country life! We loved the freedom and tranquility of your site and will be back soon.

Nice and open

We've just had three nights on this site. Finding our way there and getting into position was easy. There is plenty of room in the field and there is electric this year too. Water and toilet emptying area is clean and looms quite new We enjoyed some cycling from the site and took in all we wanted. If you're looking for somewhere with a short walk to night life maybe not the best option as it's about 20 minutes walk to get to a pub but staying on site with a cool drink and enjoying the views was good for us

A bit disappointing

We did not get to meet the owner Andrea. The site had quite a lot of road traffic noise. We stayed in a field where the grass hadn’t been cut. The only contact was a message asking if we could depart by 10am, so we didn’t even get 24 hours & a request for payment, despite having paid by bank transfer some weeks before. We thought they could do better.

Great little campsite

This site is perfectly located for nice walks. We walked up sugar loaf directly from the site. It has everything you need, is very pretty, well located and has lots of space. Andrea is very friendly and makes sure you have an enjoyable stay.

Great little site.

A lovely site, clean and beautiful. We arrived and rang the owner who said we could leave payment in the postbox or bank transfer. The site has no EHU but we didn’t need it to be honest. There is a bin and recycling bins, water and an elsan. The wheelie bin is emptied frequently and the elsan cleaned. We walked through the field to the river where our dog swan whilst we shared a bottle of wine in the sun. We decided to get a taxi into the town which was just £5. The town is lovely with every shop unit being used and unique independent shops with local produce. We had lunch at one of the pubs which was gorgeous. We recommend this site at only £15 per night. The only sad thing was the pub next door is now closed.

Lovely little campsite

Perfect campsite for visiting Crickhowell & climbing sugar loaf mountain. Level site with 5 pitches with picnic benches which is a nice touch. No showers, toilets or electric so you must be self contained. Outside sink for washing up with cleaning products provided, water & chemical disposal all spotless. The site is near a busy road but it didn’t bother us at all and quietened down at night we had a good sleep. Andrea the owner was so lovely and super helpful when we had to change our booking dates and provided us with information about walks. We had a lovely peaceful stay and will definitely be back when in the area. Perfect site.

What a Lovely Find!

We had a lovely, one night stay at Two Rivers CL to split the journey home from North Wales to Cornwall. It was a last minute decision and at such a busy time of the year we were very lucky to find such a lovely and convenient spot. And Andrea couldn't have been more friendly and helpful on the phone. This is a very pretty CL just off the main road through the village. We have a 7.5 ft motorhome so it was great to find such an easily accessible site. One well maintained level field for 5 vehicles (each with its own picnic bench) with all the usual CL facilities situated just off the corner of the field - all of which were well set up and maintained, with the thoughtful addition of hand gel and a bucket of cleaning products under the sink. The site is just on the edge of Glangwryney, with a beautiful view of the hills. Unfortunately we didn't have time to explore the area but we'll definitely come back next time we're passing through South Wales and spend some more time.

A fantastic find

Booking was very easy via messenger. Andrea replied very promptly. Easy access to pitch. Pitch is right next to A40 but i was surprised how quiet it became early evening. The field is very large and they have 5 picnic benches spread around the field which to us indicated that these are the pitch's. Unfortunately on our last night a motorhome parked so close to us. It was thoughtless with no sense of social distancing. If i wanted to be that close i would stop at sites that have white and blue pegs. A lovely view of local hills. A easy walk into wonderful Crickhowell by the river. The Bear serves great food and keeps its beer well. Bus stop to Abergavenny and Brecon very close. I would defiantly stop here again.

Great CL

Lovely well kept site. Only the 5 pitches on a 1.5 acre site, so nicely spread out. All grass, but drains well. Lovely views of the mountains. Water, grey and black waste drainage on site. Easy access direct from A40. Will be back again. Recommended.
