- A really lovely spot -

I was really disappointed to read some of the negative aspects of the previous review in particular! We have just returned from a weekend away at Ty-Cooke Farm and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Yes, the driveway is a 'little rough' and there are a few potholes, but really, does this detract from the Site at all? On site, yes, we needed levelling blocks, the Site Directory states it is part sloping, - I knew it before I arrived, had blocks in the caravan, so no 'great shakes'! The grass wasn't long at all, - perhaps in need of a 'slight trim' yes, - and as for other caravans on Site, well, there appeared to be one 'semi-permanent' one there, the owners of which weren't, and we were the sole 'occupants' of the Site for the weekend! Yes, it was fifteen quid for the night - a pound more than some beautiful caravan sites without toilet blocks - like St. Agnes Beacon in North Cornwall for instance where there is the perfect sunset for viewing, - I do appreciate that the Farm Buildings here do block' what would be an extremely amazing vista otherwise. As for TV reception, well, don't even bother bringing the matter up! You need a decent aerial system for your caravan or a decent amplifier! Being from the Bristol area, we even managed !to pick up BBC West so really that is a pathetic complaint! Only six miles or so up the road to Abergavenny and the really interesting Saturday market - then a nice lunch in Raglan thereafter. A totally 'lazy' day today with a walk to 'The Horseshoe' PH close by - (7 or 8 minutes, or a minute or two's drive!) . The Sunday Roast looked lovely and we shall definitely partake on our next visit! A really lovely spot! Quiet and peaceful with only the birds and farm animals filling the air with noise. Don't let the previous reports put you off.......we shall most certainly be back! A really lovely, relaxing weekend!
