Nice area poor cl

I am sorry to say that for £15.00 a night this cl was very poor value for money. If this hadn't been a last minute 3 night break we would have moved on. We stayed on this one about 5 years ago and even then the driveway was very rough and pot holed. It hasn't changed. The grass was about 8 inches long and soaking wet, speaking to a man who has been there 3 weeks it hasn't been cut in that time. I don't think it has been cut in six months. The field itself should be described as part level rather than part sloping, bring some good levelling blocks. It is a shame that the flatter areas are taken up by semi permanent caravans whose owners only occasionally come to use them. There were seven caravans on site only two of which were occupied (I thought this was against club rules and planning permission). Tv and radio reception was poor but that might be due to our older type caravan aerial. The chemical disposal is via a neat, covered, hole in the ground but the rinse tap did not work. There are few views from the site as there are a number of farm buildings in the way. Locally a walk alongside the canal revealed kingfishers, herons, a cormorant along with ducks and a green woodpecker. We knew the price before we went so I can't complain at that other than for £15 just with ecu a night you should expect a decent standard. We didn't see the owner (no doubt a busy farmer) until the morning we were due to leave but I'm sure that was just a coincidence. I pointed out these faults to the owner as he collected his money but he said he couldn't cut the grass as it would then traipse into the caravan. All in all very disappointed and will not be returning. If you are in the area go to the Horseshoe pub, just up the road, brilliant staff and food.
