This a most lovely CL with fabulous views and very kind and friendly owners. As we in our later years we were shown great kindness and help. Mrs Brislin couldn't do enough to help us enjoy our stay. Absolutely wonderfull, and now have booked to return in 6 weeks
Its All About the View
Booking was straightforward via email and no deposit requested. Arrival is through a wide entrance and a gate. The owner met with us on our arrival who was welcoming and approachable.
We selected our pitch (we were on 3 but 2 is the best as most level) which is equipped, as are all pitches, with a water tap and 16A EHU. N.B. the electric is metered - you pay for what you use @ 0.38 per k/wh - we are content with this although it is not stated in the site description. We used £30 over 12 nights with no economizing (we're on holiday). The CL does have the use of a toilet and shower in a mobile home.
The view across the lake is beautiful. All residents can use as they desire - a few inflatable canoes were enjoying themselves.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was very quiet with only a few other units. There is a campsite next to the CL separated by a low wire fence. This was hardly used during our stay.

A gem of a CL
We stayed on this fabulous CL recently and were totally blown away with just how fabulous it is.
The owners went out of their way to be friendly and helpful and yet at no time did you feel like they were being intrusive
The facilities were just amazing
How many sites are you literally on a lake that you can use for swimming, paddle boarding or kayaking!!
Add in the hot tub and tennis court and all I can say is WOW.
We have never returned to a CL, but we will 100% go back to this one
Lovely friendly campsite
We have just returned from this site following a lovely stay. The family running the site are very welcoming and relaxed. We had 2 dogs a puppy and an old dog which needs to be away from other dogs. We were given an end pitch that fully met our needs. The whole site is very well thought out with spacious sites each with uninterrupted views of the stunning lake. The bins are very accessible, dog bags handily placed on fences and water taps at each pitch. There is fenced in areas to let dogs run and the lake to enjoy swimming and water sports. The site offers a good shower in a static caravan. Our fellow guests were also lovely and this increased the pleasant experience.
We will definitely return to this site and highly recommend.
Absolutely wonderful!
We stayed at Tyllyn Lakeside for two weeks in August and really wish that we could have moved in! The Brislin family were so friendly and kind and couldn't have been better hosts! We were house hunting for our impending move to Wales and they were so helpful with letting us know of available places locally and all the estate agents in the area.
The site was immaculate with everything you needed and more to make your stay enjoyable, even dog poo bags in little holders on the fences!
The scenery over the lake was breath taking especially when sat on the picnic benches with a glass in your hand watching the sun set!
We loved watching their horses in the field every day and commend them on the fantastic work they do as a horse sanctuary.
We will definitely be returning!
3 fantastic nights !!!
Amazing site overlooking a vast lake. I can’t fault it. I kayaked and paddle boarded along the lake during an amazing sunset. The owners are lovely , friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them . They are informative of the local area and are passionate about the horse rescue side of their business which I found fascinating . The pitches are pristine with recycling Recycling facilities / bins close by. Pub and a shop is about 1 1/2 miles away. I would highly recommend this CL.
A Peaceful and hidden gem
Hidden Gem, We stayed on this CL for a week, in June 2021, @ £ 14/night, all inn, great value, arrived to a lovely warm welcome and stunning views over the lake. From this base we toured the west coast to Aberystwith, Lampeter( got lovely fresh crabs from the mobile fishmonger, visits every 1st & 3rd Friday at 11am), a steam train ride on the Gwili train and much more. Superb scenery, beautiful villages, no litter or grafiti, what joy. Then a fond farewell on our departure, surely we’ll be back . Thank you Lou &Terri
Stunning lakeside view
We stayed here for the Easter week and had a lovely warm welcome from the owners.
Very peaceful with beautiful views across the lake in one direction and across the valley the other way.
Loved watching the horses being led to the fields, such characters.
Enjoyed kayaking around the lake. 10 mins drive to the Brechfa forest which is great for walking and cycling.
Owners couldn't do enough to help, thank you for a lovely stay.
5*
This is a fantastic place to Stay and I’ve already booked to stay again.
The pitches do slope but as long as you have levellers you will be fine access is really easy.
The views are fantastic over the lake And has Wildlife is good rabbits, Kates and more all seen when we were there.
Fishing tennis courts And you can canoe on the lake all for free 👍
Owners were friendly and my boy had an accident and we end up in hospital and they always asked how he was doing and because me missed the night and day they offered use a free night. Unfortunately we was unable to but That was very good of them (thank you)
My boys love it and can’t wait to go back
If you’re looking for somewhere to go to get away from everything it’s a perfect place just be aware you have to drive if you wanna get somewhere
See you soon Paul Kian and Jac

What a fab place. So easy to access, lovely welcome, pitches have plenty of space, electric hook up at each, bins, dog bin, dog bags, hand sanitiser at each. Lovely lake that you can use. Watched red kites overhead. Our 9 year old grandson had to go to hospital after an accident and the owners were very supportive. Booked to return in May. In a way too good to share but everyone needs to know how good it is.
