Wonderful doesn't cover this CL site. We went for a week & even before we had arrived the help & advice given was outstanding.
Waking up to the sound of lambs & birdsong make to the most relaxed start to the day..
The facilities are great with plenty of showers & toilets to easily cope when the site is full.
We couldn't get a tv signal, but others did so may be a problem with our aerial. This wasn't a problem as there was a good selection of books & dvd's available to borrow.
*just a point..DON'T follow the satnav you may find yourself needing to be rescued when stuck up a steep hill on a narrow lane!!! Carolyn & Dil give excellent directions that are easy to follow.I
Will be back in September (without a sat nav Carolyn!!)
The best break ever
Just come back from a week at this magical site. Bird song and the sound of the lambs a great backdrop to the glorious views. Waterfall showers the best ever according to hubby. Great welcome, shown round the working farm. Have already booked to go back in August for a longer break.
Brilliant CL.
Stayed here mayday bank holiday, great CL in a great location, only the sound of the birds and lambs. Clean toilet and shower facilities. Carolyn gave a warm welcome and informed us where everything was situated and was a really helpful, lovely lady. Very relaxing stay, great pub just down the lane serving good food and real ales. Caravans were situated with plenty of space between each other. Dog friendly site, will definitely return.

An amazing CL
This is a fab CL - friendly owners, amazing views, and great facilities whilst managing to hang onto a rustic camping atmosphere. We were going to nominate it for 'best CL' but missed the vote - will be back next year and make sure our vote goes in in time.

got to be one of the very best C L sites
This was our first full Holiday stay on a C L site two weeks, and boy did we pick a good,un. first off the location is wonderful open fields with sheep and cattle, the sea in the distance, a wonderful pub within a short walk, that serves wonderful food and a nice garden to site out in, a short drive and you are within all the fantastic national park, you will be spoilt for choice on places to go, we ran out of time !! and you will find Carolyn and Dil wonderful hosts, as pointed out before there are plenty of showers and toilets, and a laundre room, simply can not fault it just go and enjoy it, this site will see us return of that we are both very sure. thank you to Carolyn and Dil
Lovely stay
Carolyn was lovely and communicated well at every stage of the booking process, we arrived midday on Friday for our long Bank holiday weekend stay. Clean and plentiful facilities - enough toilets and showers dedicated recycling. Our 2nd stay on a CL site and again exactly what we wanted... Lovely site, thank you Carolyn x
Beautiful site
What a charming site. Rural and peacefull just the sound of Ravens and Bussards. The site was clean and well kept. Carolyn was helpful and always available to offer help and local information. The views from our Motorhome where stunning as was the drive to and from the site. Great site to use as a base for exploring Snowdonia.
A joy of a site
We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of September and enjoyed every day! It was a complete joy of a place, a working farm set in lovely countryside with only the sound of sheep baaa-ing. Mrs Roberts was lovely, very welcoming and friendly. Yes the toilets are a little walk away but I wouldn't have called the walk overly steep. I'm not the fittest and it was no struggle for me. The toilets/showers are basic but all clean and working - and certainly not queuing for toilets, there is a separate block for men and women with a dozen or so toilets in each. The nearby pub is not what you'd call a drinking pub but the food was to die for and we ate there twice. The cheese stuffed goat meatballs on the special board were lush!! We travelled out along the north coast from here, around Anglesey, Caernarvon Castle, and Snowdon during our stay. The weather was mixed but after 5 days we were sad to leave and will definitely return soon.

My thoughts.
In good weatherthis is a very good site facilities are clean. The owners are very good & pleasent.very laid back. Even though I chewed the grass up when leaving the site. Mrs Obinson said it would take more than that to ruffle her feathers. Highley recomended

It's a different climate up here!
We stayed for a week on this site in July.
The weather was disappointing, very windy and quite a lot of rain but nearby coast was often dry and much warmer. We realised that the site is over 1000 ft. Up, so beware!
It is all hard standing with extensive and open views in all directions.
Take you hiking boots as the toilets and showers, of which there are many! Are 100yards away down quite a steep driveway!
We have grown accustomed to having a comprehensive pack of leaflets on local places of interest available and were surprised to find just a few scattered around in the toilet shed. We also expect to find a list of local emergency telephone numbers, no such list was in evidence.
It is a working farm so perhaps they had little time to add fine touches to the site.
The local pub is within walking distance but sadly lacks 'atmosphere' and hence people, we ate elsewhere.
We did enjoy our stay but would try to find a less exposed CL if visiting the area again.
