What a fabulous CL

We’ve recently spend 6 nights on this beautiful lawned CL, mostly on our own (which is such a shame)

As previous reviews have mentioned the pitches are enormous and very well spaced out. Pitches with electric hookup on 3 sides of the field are priced at £20 and non electric pitches at £15.

Access from the main road is easy and the final section to the site is a private road…..narrow and straight and very easy to negotiate and even if taken slowly will still take less than 30 seconds.

What a Gem!

This is my fourth visit to this site and probably not my last. It is beautifully quiet and calm. It does exactly what it says on the tin. The lane leading to the field is a little narrow but certainly not difficult if you can drive. The owner warned me of a rock to the side of the lane, which is clearly painted so as not to cause a problem. The surrounding area is beautiful and tranquil with quiet country lanes leading in all directions, ideal for safe cycling. There are also numerous footpaths through the fields. It was good to see that the waste disposal point had been upgraded since my last visit, pre covid. Thank you Mrs Booth. Eryl Jones.

Brynsiencyn did not disappoint!

What a lovely CL site. Talk about a manicured lawn! Pitches are big and electric hook-up available. Mrs Booth was extremely friendly when we saw her during our two night stay. Llew loved to sit outside the moho and watch the rabbits (he's the dog by the way). We had no problems driving up the lane - if you can get a bin lorry or a tractor up there why not a moho? Ours is quite wide and 7.5m - no issues - just take your time if you are nervous :-) We walked into Brynsiencyn for a pint in Y Groeslan which was really friendly. We did Parkrun in Newborough on Saturday morning - you need to drive there - not far at all though but make sure you get there at 8:30 or later as there is a height barrier until then. Recommend this site if you want space, peace and quiet and easy access to Plas Newydd, Llanfair PG, Newborugh and the list goes on. We will definitely go back on our next visit to Anglesey. Bendigedig!

Lovely peaceful site

Tyddyn Albert is ideally located for enjoyable strolls through nearby fields and footpaths with stunning views of the Snowdonia Mountains along with leisurely bikes rides down leafy lanes to the Menai Straits. We have enjoyed a lovely stay on this delightul little site over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. The camping field is beautiful and surrounded by hedgerows full of wildlife, especially bunnies who are very entertaining with their antics. There is a lot of space for well placed pitches providing ample room between each and the grass is kept in excellent condition with all the clippings being collected so no messy van! Small children can play happily and safely here so we will be bringing our grandhchildren when they are a little bit older. Competent drivers will have no issue with access to the site as we have experienced no problem towing in our small car behind a 28'+ motorhome. We would highly recommend Tyddyn Albert to those who enjoy nature, space along with peace and quiet.

Ideal for Kids

We have been coming to this site nearly every year since the children were young. It is ideal for them to experience the freedom that camping is all about. The field is large enough to play football, cricket or even learn to ride a bike like my three year old. The footpath leads to the afon Menai where the children can investigate and learn about the sea. It is also central to all other activities on the island and not to far from Eryri for the mountains. There is a new grey water disposal and chemical toilet and the hedge on the way in is cut right back. Rhian

Bethan

We spent a lovely few days at this peaceful and tranquil site. We did not experience any difficulties with the drive and found the site very easy to access. The waste disposal area had clearly recently been upgraded. Don't let the negative comments made deter you from visiting this site.

Another visit to this fine CL

We have visited this site numerous times over the last 10 years with both caravans and Motorhomes. We have never had a problem with the access road or entrance. Since the road has been tarmaced there are no issues with potholes or ruts usually encountered on a farm drive, which this is. I believe that the cdp is being updated so should now present no problem. On our visit we found the field had been freshly mown and grass cuttings collected. We were warmly welcomed, and would be more than happy to revisit any time we are on Anglesey

Beware of Approach Road and Entrance.

We stayed here for 7 nights Sept 2021. On leaving the main road we were confronted by a very narrow lane lined on both sides by bushes and overgrown brambles together with a large bolder ( wheel height) made this extremely difficult to navigate. The entrance gate involved a 45 degree turn which placed the offside of the van further into the brambles. We estimate the maximum width of the lane to be approximately 8' wide and about 100yards long. To our dismay after siting the van we discovered that every window on our brand new caravan was damaged to some degree. The site owner was very approachable and agreed to contact her insurance company for us.

I would add that the chemical toilet facility is the worst we have every experienced involving a hazardous obstacle course to reach an exposed, freestanding, porcelain toilet which was rinsed with an old plastic drum from a tap located within a bush .

Disappointing stay

This was a disappointment to me. Whilst it is tranquil and spacious site it’s downfall is that once you’ve pitched you could be anywhere in the UK. There are no views, it’s just a field with high hedges surrounding it. I travel on my own and did not feel secure because it was open access for vehicles and a public footpath runs through the site. My biggest issue was with the toilet waste disposal. This is an unpleasant job at the best of times but this was the worst I’ve come across. The approach to it is a health and safety challenge with a wobbly stepping stone leading to an algae covered concrete slab. The tap and dirty hose is 2 meters away so rinsing and flushing is tricky. At £20 per night for six nights I felt ripped off. Sorry but I can’t recommend this site.
