Nice site……but

We’ve just returned home after spending 9 enjoyable nights here with friends. The site is level and well maintained and in a great position overlooking Abersoch. With water to each pitch it makes the daily water refill much easier especially if you have your own mains water feed. To reiterate a previous review the entrance to the site is tight especially if like us you have a large twin axle set up. We did get in but with VERY little room to spare. One major criticism though was that for 6 of the nights we were there there was either 6 or 7 Caravans / Motorhomes on the site. 2 Motorhomes sharing a pitch close to us. Whilst I appreciate site owners want to maximise their investment we like CL sites because of the 5 van limit.

A Great Find

Loved our stay. Great location and beautiful views. Good dog walk up the hill at the back of the site and also on the beach just off the main road (opposite the parking areas). We drove over to the Llyn Peninsula for the day which also offered great views and walks. Jenn very pleasant and helpful and the site small and quiet, just perfect for us.

What a beautiful place xx

We stayed here for 3 nights. What a beautiful peaceful location. Awesome views Clean toilet and showers Fresh farm eggs Flat field electric hook up and water on each pitch. You can walk along the beach to Abersoch Or along the coastal path or road to LLanbedrog. Both were lovely places and awesome beaches. We will happily return xx

Fabulous!

Our second holiday at Tyn Coed & we enjoyed it even more than last year. The site is so peaceful with lovely views over the bay & islands. The beach is a short walk & there are lovely walks on the footpaths behind the site. Jennifer always has a warm welcome & is helpful & knowledgeable. Can't wait to return next year

Great Site - with Helpful Friendly Owner/Manager - Perfect location for Sightseeing in the Area

Just returned from a 5 night stay. The site is ideally placed for site-seeing on the Lyn Peninsula. There is a beach is within walking distance and Abersoch is a few minutes down the road. Jen the site manager/owner is really helpful and friendly. The site is level and has great views out to sea. Another reviewer mentioned the tight access entrance to the site and yes, it is difficult if you have a medium to large caravan or motorhome and is definitely a 'two person job'. Our van is 2.4 mtrs wide and 5.8mtrs long. The entrance is narrow with stone walls at either side and in the lane opposite making it difficult to manoeuvre and turn into the site at the same time. Getting out is much easier as you are able to exit from the field at a shallower angle. However, this wouldn't stop us returning. There is a clean, well kept toilet and shower block if you need it. EHU and piped water to each pitch is a bonus - and makes for a more relaxing stay for whoever is usually charged with refilling the aquaroll!!

three night stay

Part of our north Wales tour. Arriving from the North you have a sharp turn into the access road, then bear left after a couple of hundred yards. The site is almost level and spacious. Excellent facilities, although one of the toilets is rather snug. Free range eggs on site. Great welcome and local info from Jennifer. There is a sea view and some good walks from the site with great views. Cross the main road and go through the nearby holiday village for access to the beach. Here you can walk all the way into Abersoch (there are buses too). Abersoch is a small coastal town with a few shops and a number of eateries. Unfortunately, (due to Covid), many were shut because of staffing issues. Buses also go to Pwllhel, which is worth a visit. If you visit Abersoch in your motorhome, be warned that one of the car parks has a day rate for motorhomes of a whopping £25!

A lovely site

We’ve just spent 3 nights at this lovely site. It was very easy to find and Jenn made us very welcome. The site is very clean, tidy and quiet and has beautiful views. It’s only a short walk to the beach and from there you can walk along the sand to Abersoch where there are restaurants and local shops. In the other direction I’d recommend the cliff top walk to Llanbedrog. There’s a good bit of climbing involved but the views are stunning and there’s a lovely beach side cafe when you get there.

Beautiful

Left a day early due to heavy rain forecast on bank holiday. Was very sad to leave this beautiful piece of Wales. Perfect view of the bay in Abersoch and the islands. Lovely walk behind the site gives even better views! Will definitely be back

Great little CL

Just returned from a 7 night. holiday at Tyn Coed and we will be back. We were greeted on arrival by Carol who went out of her way to make sure everything was OK. This lovely little site has wonderful views of the sea and all pitches are level. It's a short walk down the lane to the warren beach, and when the tide is low you can walk all the way to Abersoch Harbour along the beach. Great location for exploring this beautiful peninsular.
