Thankful we went

This is a lovely site with wonderful views over the valley towards Finghall, The field is well kept and tended and a lot of thought has gone into the facilities. Pitches 1-4 slope quite a lot but the owners have provided levelling blocks. it is a very peaceful site and has a good clean shower facility (20p's required). the waste disposal & recycling have also been well organised. This is an example of how things should be done. Well done to the Loadman Family. First class we will be coming back here again.

Enjoyable weekend

Have just returned from a great weekend in The Yorkshire Dales - we just love this place wonderful walking. Arrived faily late Friday as we came up the A1 from The Midlands and ran into the usual traffic. Some confusion on arrival as our van tipped the balance to six /other caravanners seemed to want us to move what a welcoming lot - this being our first visit to a CL and our first outing with a caravan and two children. The owner of the site explained that the van tipping the balance had been left due to the owner being rushed to hospital (we wish him a speedy recovery). We ended up having a great weekend the owner of the site was lovely and we are looking forward to our next visit. We also had a great time and enjoyed our first touring experience.

A piece of paradise

What a wonderful little site this is. Warmly welcomed by our host who could not be more helpful. The site is slightly sloping, but leveling blocks are available at each pitch. Grass nicely kept in spite of recent poor weather. The real bonus was to wake each morning to a wonderful view across the valley, and the gamboling of new born lambs and calves. Can't recommend this cl highly enough.

Quiet weekend

A wonderful weekend for our anniversary, excellent well drained site (despite a very wet weekend) with a warm welcome. Thanks.

Shush - keep it quiet !!

Stayed for a long weekends in February - weather not nice but that didn't detract from the site which is everything that you would want in a CL. Super clean toilet and shower, great views, peace and quiet and a very warm welcome. Will certainly return.

Lovely little CL site

Lovely little site well situated for exploring eastern side of Yorkshire Dales . Great little shower and loo which is always a bonus on a CL. Very peaceful and we enjoyed watching the sheep antics. Good for cycling the lanes and you can be off the main roads within a few minutes.

Wonderful peaceful break

Beautiful site in beautiful countryside. Only noise to disturb the tranquility was the occasional toot of a passing steam train in the distance on the Wensleydale railway. Good facilities with very good recycling. Easy access to many local towns. Slightly sloping grass site but levelling blocks provided. We will return.

Just perfick!!

What a lovely site, I did google map to avoid missing the entrance, but I did try to join in with the 'vans on the farmyard before I spotted the CL. Only met 'dad' as the owners were away, such a nice man, hello to you sir. Smashing quiet location, peaceful at all times, pleasant local walks, short drives to all sorts of places of interest. We drove out to Tan Hill, not too far and another good drive. We'll definitely return.

Hidden gem

Well signposted from the road and good access to site. Onto site which is slightly sloping but blocks are provided at each pitch and are numbered clearly and well spaced. As you enter the CL nominated area you are hit by beautiful views across a valley and up the facing hillside. It is extremely well kept and fenced so safe for children and animals. From the site downhill there is a stream with a public footpath and the owners have provided information in the shower/wc area and it is approx 30 min walk to Constable Hall. The shower and wc are situated in a shed on the site and immaculately clean, and a bonus for a CL site 20p will give you enough time for a good shower. The owners are very friendly and we will definitely be back. Than you Rachel for a lovely stay.
