Lovely little site

Lovely peaceful little site there is a fairly busy road adjacent to it but it wasn’t a bother really Easy route down to the National trust car park and trips to Skomer Island plus some lovely walk around the headland all marked out and back to car park Dale is also nearby very picturesque village with good parking The toilet and shower are a little rustic but they were clean and worked well

Relaxing stay.

Spent six nights on this lovely site. . The owner was very welcoming and helpful as others have said in their reviews. Even though it was a wet week, the grass was cut and kept to a good standard. There was plenty of space on the site, which is in an attractive rural area. We were able to set up on hard standing while the weather was so wet Toilets and showers were clean with Covid precautions in place We would recommend this site and would use it again

Pleasant stay

We have just spent a very pleasant fortnight at this CL. Mrs Jones is very friendly and met us and showed us to the site which is spacious and well kept. Plenty of choice of pitches as the electric points are well situated all around the edge of the site. Grass was neat and recently mowed. Very peaceful, no road noise and pleasant outlook of trees planted round the site. 1 shower and 2 toilets are situated close to the site which are old but adequate. Hand sanitiser and soap provided however the provision of toilet paper was a bit ad hoc. May have been useful to have some cleaning products made available for visitors use ie toilet brush, toilet cleaner etc. Access to the site is good off a main road which is a big plus in this area as there are many sites located down very narrow lanes. Whilst situation off a main road there is no road noice at all as the site is situated far enough back so as not to hear anything. Very peaceful. Owner friendly and very informative about the local area. No WiFi but we had a phone signal and were able to tether without any problems. Site located about 3 miles from Broad Haven beautiful beach but if you are thinking of cycling then be warned there is a very steep hill which is not for the faint hearted. Closest shop would be in Broad Haven where there is a small Londis. Good access to all main areas of interest. Excellent value for money. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

Lovely, small and peaceful CL

We recently spent 4 nights at this CL one the half term and had a lovely time. The owners gave us a warm welcome and were very knowledgable about the local area. The location of the site was ideal for our beach loving family only a 10 minute drive to Broad haven, Little Haven, 5 minutes from St. Brides (Well worth a visit) and 15 mins from Milford Haven if you need any essentials. Thanks for a lovely week.

Great CL

This is a great CL with lovely owners. The toilets and showers are clean and serviceable. Not quite sure what the recycling regime is for the area but it did seem a little confused. No WiFi but could tether to my phone although somewhat intermittent. Radio cover was good, can't comment about about TV. Location of site was just right for us being fairly close to Marloes and the area of the coastal path we wanted to explore. Can recommend this site and will certainly be returning.

Heaven In Wales

My family (myself, husband, grandfather and 5 children) have been staying on this wonderful site for nearly 15 years (sometimes twice a year). The owners Helen and Matthew and previously their parents have always made us welcome. Not sure why previous reviews state that the facilities are old, the toilets and shower are impeccably clean and are no different to any porcelain toilet. We are keen cyclists and walkers and are able to leave straight from the site onto quiet lanes and cycle or walk to many local beautiful beaches, coast paths and pretty villages. This site offers outstanding value for money, where else can you stay for £12 per night, per unit with awning and including electricity and hot showers?! The grass is regularly cut, seems to be done on a Saturday when the previous weeks caravaners have left and before the next weeks arrive. Unless of course it's heavy rain. This is a gem of a site, and most definitely my favourite out of the many I have stayed on over the years in many parts of the British Isles.

Disappointing

We arrived at this CL and the grass was very long, as we are a motor home we parked as close to the tarmac strip as possible so that we knew we could get off as it had been raining that morning. The facilities were old and dated, although kept fairly clean. The bin in the toilets was overflowing when we arrived and had still not been emptied when we left. There was no toilet roll or hand soap either. We decided to walk to Little Haven and Broad Haven and the first road you walk along is quite scary at times as is very busy. The little area at the back of the site for dogs was good, although I had to dodge the nettles and overgrowth to get there. We only stayed 2 nights and didn't see the owner at all. It was on our day of departure that we had to go looking for her to pay her. At £13 a night we felt that if more time and attention was taken to keeping the grass cut and the facilities clean and tidy it would be worth it but as my title says we were very disappointed.

Enjoyable stay

I had a three night stay and a great welcome when I arrived. There was a good choice of pitches to choose from and everywhere is fairly level. The facilities are a bonus and are kept very clean. A great base to explore the beaches, harbours and beauty spots in the area. This is a very nice CL and I look forward to my next visit to Upper Bushford.

Lovely site!

We have just returned from another great stay at Upper Bushford. This was our third visit to this site and we stayed for 10 nights. We arrived to a warm welcome from Helen who was cutting the grass. Our pitch was spacious, plenty of room for our caravan, awning and car. There were 3 other pitches taken when we arrived and all was quiet and peaceful as always. Even during the Bank Holiday weekend when the site was full - it was still peaceful and we had plenty of room and space. The site is surrounded by bushes, shrubs and mature trees and hedges which gives wonderful shelter on windy days. At the bottom end of the site through a gate is a dog walking area with a bench under a tree where one can sit and leave the dog(s) roam free. Our collie loved his evening stroll down there. This site is a real find. How often does one find a CL that has 2 toilets and a shower, easy access and easy pitching in a beautiful location and all for the great value of £12 per night. We are very happy to have found it. (I would like to point out that one of the previous reviewers comments about the facilities is wrong - there IS a wash basin in the toilet block as well as one in the shower room.) Helen and her family are lovely people and always warm, welcoming and helpful. The area around is beautiful - so many little bays and beaches and coastal villages to enjoy. We have loved every visit we have made to this site and we cannot wait to go back again next year!

Disappointing

Very disappointed with this site. When we arrived there were already 5 vans on it and ours made 6. I had a word with a family member of the owner and he said it was ok as the local Caravan Club inspector was a good guy and he would turn a blind eye!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To make matters worse on day 2 of our weeks holiday van number 7 turned up, and had to park 6.4m from our van (only just outside the safe distance recommended ) I go to a CL for a quiet break ,this was more like a club site . We found the facilities adequate but very tired . I am sorry this could be a great site BUT WE WILL NOT BE BACK.
