Perfect!

A lovely site in a perfect location. We have used it twice to break the journey to and from the Pembrokeshire coast but have agreed we need to come again and spend longer here. Fabulous views. Lovely honey from the farm. Very friendly welcome.

Perfect CL

We have just stayed for 8 nights over the Easter holidays and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. There are now two hardstanding pitches on the site with a gravelled drive from the lane which is a short distance from the main road - so a really easily accessible site but not unduly affected by noise from the road. There is a single loo and shower if needed which works well. The site has lovely views of the hills, is within a mile of Llanidloes with various pubs and large Coop and in the heart of beautiful countryside with loads of varied walks in close proximity. The coast at Aberystwyth is only 40 minutes away. We stayed at lambing time and the sheep were lambing in the field next to the CL so we were able to watch the lambs being born. We also bought some of the freshly laid eggs which were delicious. Emma was helpful on arrival and then left us to it. All in all I would highly recommend.

A Real Find

We have just returned after 6 days in this lovely site and lovely location. Only 40 miles from our home of 21 years, but we have never explored this area, and found the nearby lake entrancing, and the local town very accessible and interesting. Booking was easy, access is easy, and the views out of the glass windows on our old 'van made a perfect picture. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Everything a CL should be

As close to wild camping as you can get without breaking any laws! This is a beautiful site, fabulous views of the mountains & adjacent to fields of sheep. There are basic toilet & shower facilities for those who don’t have a bathroom on board without a big shower block making it feel like a fully blown commercial campsite. Loads of space, great EHU & a gravel track gives easy access to the middle of the field. Plenty of hiking & cycling trails into the Welsh hills from the site. Llanidloes has a supermarket, shops & cafes & is a short walk/cycle away via a quiet road. Harry & Emma also offer eggs & honey from the farm. Thanks for a fabulous stay, can’t wait to come back!

Lovely site

Upper Glandulas Caravan Park, what a lovely site. We woke to the sheep around us (in a neighbouring field), lovely views, short walk to town and the Severn Way, about 20 mins or so with a sniffy dog!) Red kites flying around. EHU included, just remember to fill up with water, before pitching - rookie mistake, you'd think we're to this lark... Definitely on our list to return to, thank you Harry and Emma.

Excellentay

Cracking site that really makes the most of the views. Not one negative aspect Just spot on all round. Can't wait to stay again. Easy access, flat pitch, one with hard standing , possibly more being created. Echo all the other positive reviews here, thanks for sharing your little bit of heaven with us

Super

The site is just great. It was quiet, with plenty of space and wonderful surrounding countryside. The owners were lovely and they went out of their way to help us out when we had a minor crisis. When we are next in the area, we will definitely try to stay here again

Lovely new owners and brilliant location, this is what a CL should be.

The Farm is under new ownership, both Emma & Harry are Absolutely lovely. Amazingly hard working but always somehow find time for a super warm welcome, ( ask Emma about some farm eggs, they are delicious) and the location is superb. Imagine waking up being greeted by cows and sheep in the field behind you in the morning, taking a look at the cracking view up the valley to the hills, then being able to take a nice leisurely, level walk into the town if you fancy. This is what a CL should be. Upper Glandulas has become a regular site for us to visit as there's loads of walks in the area, plenty of fishing for those that do and access for caravans/motorhomes etc is particularly easy. Lots of return trips planned throughout the year !

Ideal CL

As other reviews have said, peaceful with wonderful views. Road noise is nothing as the CL is below road level. Easy reach of beautiful countryside notably the Elan valley. Not far from Powys castle and gardens. My ideal cl. Water, toilet disposal and 16a electrics is all one needs.
