An absolute gem!
What an absolute stunner of a site! It is just perfect for us. Nothing commercial to spoil it. Here you are genuinely immersed in the raw beauty and dramatic power of nature. If you like remote, peaceful, dramatic views and a warm welcome then this is th solace for you. Easy to find, (although be careful as there is another CL on the approach which we nearly ended up in) and plenty of space for our twin axle and large Ford Ranger tow car plus full site awning. Stuart met us on arrival and we immediately chatted away like old friends. From there on we were left alone to enjoy the beauty that Viewfirth has to offer. Perfectly located for Thurso or John O’Groats as well as day trips to the many isles that hug the coast line and an ideal stop for anyone doing the NC500. We spent a stunning day sitting by, and swimming in, a cove just up the road totally secluded and undisturbed by anyone all day long. Ask Stuart and he will tell you where it is! You could of course, spend all day sitting outside the caravan fascinated by the passing ships up and down the firth, (download ship finder and you can see all the details of every ship.) Yes the toilet emptying is a little walk up a hill but how often do you do that during the stay? And the water and grey water drainage on each individual pitch more than makes up for it plus they have provided a ‘toilet trolly’ for use to pull it up if you need it! Not a single one of the infamous Scottish midges present on this site; I think the gentle sea breeze and clear pure air keeps the, well Way. This site is just perfect and if it wasn’t over 500 miles to get here we would be here every weekend!
