Pleasant site

Stayed here for a week, basic site, grass mowed can park anywhere on field. Sheep in near field and lots of chickens, with eggs available. There is a slight noise from motorway but didn’t bother us, access is very easy from motorway and not too far to shops and surrounding area. Anne and Mark who have recently taken over very friendly and around if you need anything. Will definitely be back.

Site description incorrect

The site description states LAWNED, actual description, rough paddock with mud holes. I would hate to be there when it is wet. The site description states Views, actual descrition, surrounded by trees and the only view is of the junk, rubble, large rack of pipes and other building material, and farm equipment at the back of the farm buildings. . It also does not mention the long term residents who are obviously using the site as a base to go to work in Cheltenham, the van either side of me were doing just that, one had large gas bottles, a generator, fuel containers around it and the long grass around the wheels and legs was an absolute give away. It also fails to mention the fact that when you have made your way up the narrow lanes from the main road you end up within site of the M5, the noise is intrusive and constant day and night, laid in bed we could hear it plainly them to make things worse the guy next door started up his generator as well. The following morning this same person set off for work at 7AM and banged every door on the car more than once and also turned his car radio on loudly. We left the site to continue our journey to Cornwall absolutely exhausted, so much so that when I reached my destination I wrote the owner a letter informing her that my booked return on my way back from Cornwall was cancelled. I would NOT recommend any member stay on this site.

A great back to basics caravanning experience!

We stayed at the end of July. What can you say? £5.50 including a loo! Large rough field with plenty of space and views, welcoming owner, some motorway background noise - but all in all a great caravanning experience!

A Pleasant Stay

My wife and I spent 5 nights at this site driving into Winchcombe each day to reconnaissance walks for our rambling group. We were able to enjoy good separation from others as the layout of the site is linear. The presence of the nearby M5 is just a distant rumble in the background. Mrs Western was friendly, relaxed, and welcoming. This well-maintained site is a real bargain.
