Having pre booked we arrived at the site to find no one was available to welcome us or site us. We hung around, rang the bell a number of times but no one appeared. There was no note for us to advise re pitching so eventually we found a pitch and set up. We didn’t see anyone other than fellow campers throughout our 3 night stay and paid by filling out an envelope in the ‘porch’ and posting through the letter box as still no answer to bell. In all our years of staying on such sites we have never not met the owners or caretakers. Having said that the site suited our needs. The bus stop 10 mins walk away runs every half hour to Cardiff. There is a Tesco extra 2 miles away. Toilets are clean if a bit run down. No loo paper or hand drying facilities. Shower looked grim and would cost 50p so used our own facilities.
