Vishwell farm

The site consists of 3 fields, separated by post and rail fencing. One of these fields is adjacent to the separate hard standing, making 4 in all. There are toilets and showers but they are a bit antiquated and could probably benefit from a refurb. Acess to Cardiff is easy, with a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away. The same road in the opposite direction leads to Barry Island or the coast road to places like Llantwit Major and St Ogmore, with its large dog friendly beach. The Wenvoe arms in the village is also dog friendly and does good food. When we arrived, given the different fields, we asked where to pitch and were told to go anywhere. We were also told that the site has planning permission for 15 vans. We've stayed on a mixed CL/commercial site before, but usually there's some separation between the two. On both of the Saturday nights we were there the 15 van limit was exceeded, and that's without factoring in the 2 caravans (both definately in use) tucked away behind the hedge. There is plenty of space at the site, so this wasn't an issue, but if you are looking to book what members would understand to be a CL I'd suggest that this isn't the place for you.
