This CL is poor for a number of reasons. Firstly the interaction we had with the owner was not warm, we were not welcomed on arrival and for the size and lack of care of the site, £18 does not represent good value for money. It is by far the most expensive CL we have stayed at and the worst. The pub is dark and dingy and I would not care to eat there and the land of this tiny site that struggles to get five vans on with decent space in between, is poorly tended. It is uneven, pot holed and steep to access. Whilst the walks along the coast to either Thorpeness or the RSPB reserve past the Nuclear Power Station are lovely, we would not recommend this site and is not a good fit with the CL reputation held by the Club.
